Watched your video from KL Central to Butterworth. Penang. Actually, you could take a bus from TBS (Terminal Bas Bersepadu) to any major towns in Peninsular Malaysia or to Singapore and Thailand. There are many counters with well informed TBS staff to help you purchase from a variety of buses services going to your destination. You colud ask for cheapest or luxurious according to your preference and even choose uour seats. TBS is located in Bandar Tasek Selatan, Kuala Lumpur, which is linked to the LRT/ Kommuter and ERL stations. It is the largest bas terminal in Malaysia. BTW, TBS is almost like an Airport. You need to go there to experience it for yourself. You may not get your preferred choice if bus on weekends if you try to buy your ticket on the day of trip. On Weekdays you would be able to purchase easily on arrival.

@@hungrypassport8095 when you book online you are automatically brought to the Red Bus site. You can use that or if you know the website of major bus firms, you could book there as well. When you buy your ticket online you need to have a print out for some places like KL Sentral bus terminus. For TBS you could get a TBS ticket printed out when you present your phone at 2 special counters at TBS at no cost. You could also use the QR code on your phone to scan to get access to the gates. As for me, as a Malaysian, I never book on line. If I want to go to KL from my hometown 100 miles North. I just go to my local bus terminal and purchase a return ticket to KL. When I arrive in KL, I just present my return ticket and get it converted into a TBS ticket to access the gate without any extra cost. BTW the Transnasional Bus that I take has discounts for Malaysian Senior Citizens. We only pay the price, as child rate.
