@@joelcredo6713I know Philippines is facing stereotypes since we were too influenced by america and spain due to them going to our asian land. That’s why we filipinos can speak english, some little spanish loanwords, have english nicknames+spanish surnames. America and Spain only influenced us since they used to make war in our land. That’s all it is. Spanish loanword: Pero “means but in english” Tagalog: Ngunit Modern filipinos now mostly speak Tag-lish with very little spanish loanwords conjunction (pero and para) pero in tagalog is “Ngunit” para in tagalog is “upang” Lastly, filipinos really don’t have spanish surnames. Spain just implemented that we change our asian surnames to spanish ones for Tax purposes. Our real surnames examples are: Manginsay, Ilang-Ilang, Batutay, Mingoc, Bondoc, etc. If only weren’t too influenced by america and spain, we wouldn’t have been facing stereotypes. Some born and raised filipinos u meet in the US are having identity crisis. They claim they have spanish blood just cuz they have spain surnames and spanish adobo. They do not. This is not to say that there are no natives who are beautiful, but most celebrities do not represent true Filipina beauty. Most of them have mixed blood which is not bad but is not representative of what a native Filipina looks like. Though, given our colonial history, it is difficult to find a pure blood Filipina.

Before you malign others, maybe you can elaborate what you mean or speak better English. What has been disproven many times? The fact that many of our celebrities are not pure-bred Filipina? Alat means salty in Tagalog so I am obviously not a foreigner. If you look at the last names of the cited celebrities, they have non-Filipino native last names e.g., Heusoff, Lustre, Soberano. It’s common knowledge that one of their parents is a foreigner at least by race and not by citizenship. Heck some of them even speak better English than Tagalog. For example, Liza can’t even speak a sentence in straight Tagalog even if her life depends on it. Geez. Again, nothing wrong with that but they do not represent what a pure Filipina beauty is. Though given our colonial history, as I’ve said, it is difficult now to envision, let alone state, what a true Filipina beauty encapsulates. In my mind, however, a true Filipina beauty at least should be morena in complexion (brownish color), flat nose, jet-black hair but to each his or her own. I never knew that speaking the truth counts as a hater now. If you want to argue, base your arguments on solid grounds; otherwise you are just making a fool of yourself.
