Music to this was recorded in 6 days (only)... Than they added vocalists. Than they've became the biggest on line Orchestra in the number of 732 pepole involved... And the best part is that no one, including the members of orchestra knew nothing about what is going on untill it was published on yt... Vocalists knew notking about tge band, the orchestra members knew nothing about the vocalists and each other untill it was all over.... 😉 Now that's what i call a surprise 😁
I am soo sooo proud of being Polish. I have always been thinking that we have extraordinary and extremely talented artists. Our Polish artistic heritage is just overwhelming! Czesław Niemen, Marek Grechuta, Bajm band, Grzegorz Turnau, Budka Suflera band, Komeda, Manaam Band, Stan Borys, Breakout band, Republika band, Urszula,Grzegorz Ciechowski, Raz Dwa Trzy Band, Stanisław Sojka, Edyta Górniak, Justyna Steczkowska, Natalia Kukulska, O.N.A. band, Lady Punk band..all modern artists like Dawid Podsiadło, Monika Brodka, Kortez etc etc hundreds of them..we should never ever have any complexes as a nation!
The song "Co mi Panie dasz" was written in 1982 by Beata Kozidrak, the vocalist of the Bajm band. (If you understand Polish history from 1945 to 1989, you will understand the lyrics of the song ). During the COVID-19 epidemic, composer Adam Sztaba prepared a new arrangement of the song. 732 musicians participated in the online recording. Private individuals recorded videos playing various instruments, and then they sent them to Adam, and his team edited the video clip. Professional vocalists who took part in the recording: Cleo, Dorota Miśkiewicz, Piotr Cugowski, Kasia Moś, Igor Herbut, Andrzej Piaseczny, Olga Szomańska, Natalia Kukulska, Ewa Farna, Kuba Badach, Kasia Wilk, Natalia Nykiel, Ania Karwan, Sebastian Karpiel, Patrycja Markowska, Damian Ukeje. If you're interested, before Adam Sztaba, other great Polish vocalists created covers: Edyta Górniak, the duo Gaba Kulka & Czesław Mozil, Dawid Podsiadło with Tomasz Organkiem. Depending on the performer, covers have different performance styles. Take a look on RU-vid at the original rendition: 'Co mi panie dasz' by Bajm in 1983 and compare it to the covers :D autor @pychu1987
When I heard it for the first time, my reaction was very similar to yours. Wow, just wow. And i totally agree with you, nothing stops the music, nothing stops talent.
When you consider that over 700 people performed this and none of them knew each other or what they were performing for until they saw the final result online it's just mind-blowing when you see the final product. Zoom may have found a whole new use. Just sit back for a second and think about what it took to coordinate all this
Stunning, amazing work, I did not know about that and What will You Give To Me, Lord by Bajm is one of my favourite songs... Thank you so much paul for diiving into Polish music, we have some talented singers and musicians... Hugs from Poland - Karolina
@@TeacherPaulReacts So much :) Please read what I wrote under Dumka na dwa serca :) You will understand the song and the context better :) Hugs Karolina
This song was firstly recorded by the band named Bajm in 1982 (a great song even then!). At that time the text referred to the martial law imposed by the communists in December 1981, and now it suits perfectly the COVID reality...
They gave us hope. The government locked us in our homes for who knows how long, and they showed us that we are still free, despite the pandemic and isolation.
I would love for you to see "Chciałbym umrzeć z miłości" by Myslowitz and/or the polish classic "Jolka Jolka pamiętasz" by Budka Suflera(there is a pretty good translation on lirycstranslate) - this is the essence of polish music.
One of the blond woman vocalist is Kasia Moś, she was on eurovision song contest with a beautiful song....song that can be use in every part of James Bond movie Kasia Moś - Flashlight check this out
You should hear Maanam songs. All are just amaizing but my favourite are „Lipstick on the glass” (it has just this title in english, the rest is in polish), „Szare miraże”, “Cykady na Cykladach” „Krakowski spleen” „Tylko Tango” „Boskie Buenos”. Sorry, I simply cannot choose one song 🤍
Actually there are two versions of Lipstick on the glass- one in english, but it’s quite weird so please if you will be listening to that song choose polish version 🤍
Edyta Górniak - List (the Best polish singer), Sylwia Grzeszczak feat Mateusz Ziolko - bezdroża ( really good ), Julia Wieniawa - SMRC O.N.A - kiedy powiem sobie dość, Afromental - Rock&Rollin'love, Virgin- nie odpowiadaj, Bajm- Biała armia Perfect - Niepokonani
This song is very special for Poles. It's one is a cover, coz song was originally made in 1982 and was performing by Bajm (Beata Kozidrak), when Poland was under the occupation of Soviets - all of the politicians was totally controlled by Soviet Union and Poland, since 1944, was a communist country. People in their hearts felt free and can not stand the occupation, so riots for freedom begins to spread. Basically song is about daily life and feelings people suffer under the regime. But in fact, it's true value was hidden from the soviet cenzorship. It's a protest-song, that was made to give Poles courage and stranght to keep going and holdon, to not forget the bright future is ahead. And finally, 7 years after the oryginal version was released, after many fight, riots and lost lives, in 1989 we get our freedom back, and this song become a memorial of those times :) So our situation now is so similar to the situation then - uncertain times, unknow future, but we have to keep going.
Nobody, literally nobody of the video "reactioners" have never, ever said a word about a polish language in their reactions, BUT i think, you guys actually like how plastic (flexible), melodic, how cool is Polish and how it fits to the music. Anyway, thanks a lot for that reaction and your word.
OMG następna. Przecież to są piosenki dla Polaków a nie dla obcokrajowców bo nie robią na nich porażającego wrażenia tak jak na nas. To świetne utwory ale nie na spektakularna reakcję
