hat yai is not pronounced as HUP CHAI idk where u learnt that from but it is wrong

"Hup jai" is what the older generation of Singapore and Malaysian call that

Older generation of Malaysian and Singaporean pronounced Hat Yai as "Hup jai" I don't exactly know how it arises. Somehow I am unable to twist it back to its proper pronunciation after calling it wrongly for so many years, along with many people .
