Tunisia's Oussama Mellouli was the Olympic champion in the 1500m freestyle at the 2008 Olympics, bronze medalist in the 1500m freestyle at the 2012 Olympics, and gold medalist in the 10 km marathon competition at the 2012 Olympics. He is the first Olympian to win medals in both the open water and the pool in a single Olympic Games.
