Well that's very good step by government..

It was a fail campaign in the end. The market was saturated with the West African crops from 2018 batch. Tanzanian govt didn't realised the main problem was for them to bring in the expertise and machines to de-shell cashew nuts more effectively like in India and Vietnam. They are currently sitting with all the stockpiles from last year in Mtwara.

Dear Beloveds. The Cashew is a sacred gift. I delight to learn your government is mature enough to recognize the farmer. I eat a great deal of cashews but they are very hard to get. Especially clean and raw(ish). I would suggest targeting the high end quality market. Organic, clean, environmentally friendly, and raw. Oils are denatured from heat. A highly heated cashew is toxic for consumption. There are plenty of people willing to pay top dollar for quality. Nuts are the way of the future.

Alot of Indians have left Tanzania because of magufulis policies if African governments need to support the locals it must be done without emotions every one should play by the rules or Zimbabwe will happen again be smart

in economics theory, it`d be very trouble for TZ economy. Because this short of 350-550 mln USD translated to TZS depreciation then increase interest rate then increase inflation---> TZ people will live in a very tought conditions. So, for me, it`s not a good option for TZ gov.
