Strong and moving song. For me the best. And the message is strong - women are the backbone of Ukraine. Of our world. And the reminding of war is not annoying. Respect.
I feel like people who record reactions have that urge to look for problems in those songs they react to where there are no actual problems performed. Yes, there might be some problems behind the scene with her earphone or whatever it was, however she sang it the way that I didn’t notice there was any problem. Their singing was great.

Apart from voting, the other parts were pre-recorded live under a bunker or sth as far as I remember, it has been since the war and sound quality usually is not good anyway

4:48 Jerry and Jamala are very good friends, as far as I know. You should check Jerry's song, "Vegan" from Vidbir 2020 and Jamala's song, "Smile" from Vidbir 2011. They are completely opposites to their Eurovision entries. 😅
Not sure about this one. It’s somewhere in the upper middle in my ranking for now. It’s pleasant and I am impressed by Jerry Heil as a singer and don’t even mind the rap really (am not a rap fan myself!). I am not really excited about it though. I’m not also a fan of the religious motif in general - and as some critics have pointed out, picking Mother Teresa as one of the saints in the song gives it what I assume is an unintentional and unnecessarily controversial flavor. That aside… it’s a competent and solid middling entry for me. Edit: Jerry Heil is the singer (she did the fabulous “When God shut the door” that should have won last year I think) - which makes Alyona Alyona the rapper.
So, this is one of the entries this year I'm the most split towards. The positives - I love Jerry Heil's voice, she released a gorgeous song with Ochman last year, love her. The composition is nicely flowing, the rap part I could do without but it provides a changeup the song that does the song well. One would think with all that in the positives column, one negative couldn't bring it down so much... but the glorification of Mother Theresa as the patron saint for the empowerment message of the song is a big ol' swing and a miss for me.
The beginning of the video... why speculating and making such ridiculous statements without looking into the singers, song, and the meaning of it? It is just too bad... for me, knowing what the song is about and in what conditions it is performed, your comments sound so disrespectful.
I don't know why this is on second place in the bedding odds. most overrated entry this year. Go-A was so much more original and better. this is kinda forgettable. It's just not a melody that wows me in any way.
I can’t stand the Ukrainian songs anymore! They’re all the same: rap, melodico chorus with traditional sounds. You know… this sounds like a mix of Stefania and 1944
Lol, Ukraine has only had two songs with rap, and that’s Stefania in 2022 and now this song in 2024, but you’re acting like Ukraine always sends rap😂😂😂 We had Shum in 2021, which was Goa trance that no other country had ever done, and then R n B last year, over and above English pop, rock, folk and dance entries that Ukraine has sent over the previous years. If there’s one country that innovates, it’s Ukraine, and that’s why it has a 100% qualification record, unlike the myriad of countries that send your boring, generic English pop, but hey, you know what they say about opinions, we all have one.
The music you described is our Ukrainian brand music, it always shows our Ukrainian inner soul, it includes traditional instruments and such music connects us with our ancestors. We are so proud of our singers💙💛 In case you can't stand the Ukrainian songs, just don't listen to them, but to say that they're all the same is a total bullshit! Glory to Ukraine! Glory to all our Heroes!
