I’m quite happy in Alabama, thank you for asking. It IS hot, humid, and buggy in summer, but quite beautiful. It’s pronounced “mishigan “, and I actually saw the Darth Vader gargoyle on a field trip with my daughter. It was pretty cool. Interesting fact: There’s an old law on the books that it’s illegal to harpoon a whale from a moving vehicle in Tennessee. Tennessee is landlocked, hundreds of miles from the ocean! 🤣🐳❌🔱 When we started getting curbside recycling in our town, our trash output dropped from a bag of trash a day, to one bag every 3 days. Blame it on the packaging! Why do you need a box in a box wrapped in plastic? Loved these! So pretty. Can’t pick a favorite. You’re the best Jo!

Yes, I am unhappy in AL. I mean, it's where I was born and raised, but its a bit depressing here. I'm glad my oldest daughter has goals in getting the hell out of dodge and pursuing her dreams. She and her first cousin wants to move to either Houston or Austin Texas. I am rooting her all the way. I will miss her dearly if she does actually go, but I want her to have a life outside of Alabama, ya know? About these nails, OMG!!!! YOUR TALENT NEVER CEASES TO AMAZE ME! I swear! I said that an article said the British call the main course an entrée, which we don't, because it's not. I said we don't because we're not stupid. I didn't know that Americans had *changed* the definition of it in America. It is not originally - or currently in most of the ROW - the main course. We don't change what words mean here just because they get changed in the U.S 🤭.

Super cute nails!!!!! The details are amazing! I really loved all the fun facts you mentioned as well as those from viewers. Lots of fun stuff about Oregon. I grew up there. We used to go canoeing in Crater Lake every summer. I remember when Mt. Saint Helen's volcano erupted in the early 1980's, the ash made it unusable for a long time. I'd never heard of a lot of these fun facts, like the house made from newspapers. It was fun to look up a few of these things. Apparently the newspaper walls were constructed with a homemade glue made of flour, water, and apple peels. Everything was then covered in varnish. Thanks for sharing all these fun facts! 👍👍👍👍

@@MissJosNailCo Oh it is beyond beautiful! Lots of fun memories of Crater Lake. I still have a jar of ash from when Mt. St. Helen's erupted. I remember it very vividly and there was ash falling like snow hundreds and hundreds of miles away from the volcano.

Well Jo I live on lake superior. Even though it a lake. The waves are like the ocean. I can always tell when storm is coming in. The wind across the water makes this roaring sound. It scared the crap out of me the first time I heard it. But over the years you get used to it.

Yes! I drive past that tiny little park in Portland, Oregon all the time! It used to have a small tree in the center of it, but due to the recent unrest, the tree has been destroyed. Perhaps next year we will find a way to replant it. The location of the park is in the center of Naito Parkway

OMG I'm from Portland and when I was growing up I would get so excited to drive by the park and see what it was decorated like at any given time! People would decorate for Christmas and other holidays, and there was usually some tiny little trinkets! I miss that little park. I moved to Washington State after high school and haven't seen it in years!

Hi Jo. I live north of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. We have all kinds of odd laws. Like it is illegal to use a gold fish as bait when fishing. haha. One town doesn't allow you to sing, whistle or hum on a public street. So anyways. just wanted to tell you that I love this set and the set that hat had the route 66 and eagle. For a girl who doesn't live here you certainly captured the whole patriotic vibe. Great job.

Jo, love these! Just wanted to clarify that flag law. It’s the wearing of an actual flag that is against the law. Depictions of the flag, such as on clothes and such don’t count. Anywho, doing my friend’s nails for the fourth and using my diamond glitter super gloss! Woot!

Not sure if I saw this in the comments but Lake Chaubunagungamaug, means "Fishing Place at the Boundaries-Neutral Meeting Grounds".[1] A more fitting translation is "lake divided by islands", according to anthropologist Ives Goddard.[2] and it's from Loup, an Algonquian language.
