What percentage of foreign nationals ( Indians ); get into residency every year ? The video gives. an incomplete picture. Cracking USMLE is just one part. There are limited number of residency spots. Why will they give that to foreign nationals ?. From my limited knowledge the rural residency spots and non competitive specialities like primary care and family practice are given to foreigners .

cool chill interview ; well said,. she is not alone there are very many who hve done MS even DM and restarted residency in US for the greens. Only a bit missed out by Dr is the cost for transcript certification from the college which is an unwanted fee like thing paid to the dean managed account and other fee payable to Medical council. hope she is one who was not under any bond regulation for service post the qualification. Last bit of frustration is each state in US demands different licensing protocols and a repetitive procedure to be followed which sometime frustrates to get the licence when moving from one state to another. rest.. very chill

@19:50 You cannot compare residency salary with that Netflix Software Engineer salary. L5 Engineers usually have 10+ years of experience and with that experience even doctors can earn $500K+. You should be comparing it with an entry-level SDE salary instead🤷♂️. I agree that software engineering pays well but your hyping it unnecessarily here.
Entry level SDE starts his job at aroun 21/22yrs of age but the same is not true for docs and docs have never become world's richest ppl .... you can earn n be content that's it .... Everything in this world is connected to engineering so docs play a minuscule role in this huge universe.. no comparison..... I love engineering
@cosmicwitch - I partly agree with your comment and Hobby Explorer's views given the age factor. But you also have to understand that you have to be the best in the respective field to earn that much. I know that talented and experienced doctors in the US can also earn the software engineering salaries he's talking about. My concern is that he's making it sound like an average SDE makes around 400K. To put it in perspective, it's like telling SDEs in India make 60LPA on average. Not everyone can get to that level, that too in a FAANG company. So making it sound so easy to get is unacceptable.

If you have heard is hourly basis pay and i myself I'm into it though i started a bit late but these days even school kids are taught coding n they earn while they study.... engineering is vast

Regarding the PG, so long I thought USA recognizes them and people have to clear a licensing exam to start practising in USA. In Europe (eg., in Germany) the PG is 6 years and got to know it is 3 years in India. So, someone has to show the deficit by other means. Do you know why USA does not recognize PG? because students put so much time for PG enterance and the course duration of 3 yrs. and it goes unrecognized. Yeah the knowleddge gained would give heads up but still why they do not ?

Can he complete the USML exam in india and apply colleges from India to get the Match then he apply the F1 to get here ? Appreciated if this point is cleared

Step 1 and 2 can be given anywhere, there is one more step called step 3 which can be given before residency or during residency. That is the exam which can be given only in US. It is a 2 days exam. Step 1 and 2, OET can be given anywhere
