It very variable time line. If you give you steps before September and get ECFMG certificate then you can apply for the same cycle and match on match next year.

I have heard of a program called reverse program in US, where docs in india can complete PG can apply for fellowship. Do research about it a bit more.

How long usmle journey is after giving usmle step 1 in 3rd year (mbbs) in india and then when to go for step 2 and and then when to go for step 3 ? And it here is no post graduation in medical in usa ? Or it is included into usmle preparation?
@ApurvaPopat
@ApurvaPopat 8 дней назад
For the USMLE journey, it’s recommended to take Step 1 during your third year of MBBS. You can then take Step 2 during your internship or after completing it. Step 3 should ideally be taken before starting residency if you plan to apply for an H1 visa. However, if you are okay with a J1 visa, or if you already have a green card or U.S. citizenship, you can take Step 3 while in residency.
