what's crazy is that in Lituya Bay, that's actually what happened. as it says five in the area were killed, but at least one fishing boat survived by turning straight into the wave and powering up and over it

Luckily the crew was able to escape in a life raft. The end result of the megatsunami was 2 ships sunk, 2 killed, one injured, and one killed indirectly (stress-induced heart attack).
