My dad is attempting the most time underground challenge and my whole family was there to support him for the challenge, he has gone 6 years so far! I am so proud of him !
what's crazy is that the crowd and commentator and the kids were huge distractions. you have to semi-meditate underwater for maximum efficiency. usually achieved through staying completely still, quiet, relaxation/tranquility and slowing your heart rate down. won't be totally surprised if he one day hits 20 minutes under said circumstances. my PB is 3:13 btw
The air bubbles that consistently escape throughout the trick is kind of a give away. If you hold you breath in a swimming pool there will be air bubbles from your clothes for like 10 seconds. but here you can see them consistently being released probably a lung implant with a two way valve and clear tubes. Also turning upside down allows for connectin to an additional hose that is connected to a two way valve breathing apparatus this can be subtle and implanted into the nose or the side of his mouth with an invisible small tube. The last part of the effect is where he disconnects all tubes from either the oxygen supply he has on him secretly hidden or an extraneous source. The last 3-4 minutes of the effect are him actually holding his breath which is correct as all air bubbles have now dissapeared. Many ways to achieve the effect probably a smart combination of all of them delivered in a modern way. great effect
People are stupid how do you not see the constant stream of bubbles behind him lmao bro that means there is air in water. He has a damn line attached to him for him to breath
@@imrelentless9577 Ok so we can’t see it at all. And if he had something in his mouth bubbles would constantly be coming out of his mouth and nose as he exhaled. God you are a moron.
Thinking like a magician: There are plastics you can get that are nearly invisible underwater (their index of refraction is almost identical). We know that this trick can and has been done with the use of oxygen tanks and tubes. As a magician, a lot of the little things that people don't think should matter, actually matter. That lighting looks dramatic and dynamic and wonderful, but it can also be used to disguise and obfuscate certain things as well. Blaine is wearing black clothing that, while not baggy, is also not skintight. There are tiny containers of compressed O2 that can be had for well under Blaine's budget. But if he wanted to keep it cheap, run tubes up either his legs (so that when he's upside down he can breathe) or up the back of his arm (notice a bandage on his arm). I've never done a "hold your breath for an insane amount of time" trick, but these would at least be the avenues I'd look down if I wanted to replicate this effect (and it could be that Blaine has used none of these methods, but I don't see a good reason that they wouldn't be open to him if he had access to those polymers.

He had already been physically capable of holding his breath for such long amounts of time, like when he broke the world record. I doubt there is a trick here, because David trains his body to be able to do these things.
why is it that air bubbles NEVER stop coming out of his clothes? hmmm AHAHAH someone says @3:06 "how come there's bubbles still coming out of his @$s? he's breathing out of his @s$ LOL i bet he's wearing a body cast of some sort so the air he is breathing you cant see his chest moving in and out. and they told him to turn upsideown at 5 min cuz you could see the BUBBLES leaking out of the system somewhere.. lol
Have you ever gone under water with clothes on. They hold air and depending on how tight the clothes are dictates how slow or fast the air is released.
@Pezao It doesn't matter how saturated your body is with oxygen your brain will still hit the panic button for you to breath that took a hell if a lot of discipline, mind, and body control.
5:33 making it too easy. legs not under water now. he has pants on...making it look more bad than he was 17minute. what happened 7 minute. my best is 5.5 for that time i struglle.david personal best was 3minute before he find out he did better than houdini lol. what if i start train for year LOL
You know. The guy below me has never been so correct. The clear false advertising of 17 minutes is highly frustrating. Also confusing with being an 11 minute video. However, the concept of time is more confusing. It’s 2020 but I see fanny packs and destiny 2 DLC in the same vicinity. Put my name in bold. I got 5 in it. With no co pay.
i would say that the representation on the screen from 2:13 to 2:27 is a recording. Since the audience is far away and the girl blocks the view, he can breathe through a poorly visible tube.
I thought he supposed to hold his breath for 17 minutes as you indicated on the headline. I mean it doesn't matter even 10 minutes is an amazing time but the headline States 17 minutes.
Some scientist doctors do experiments, their is a small hole at the back that a person can breath, it is like small soft drinks straw can pass it! The operated man performer have look alike person to be a representative without any back hole operation!
