In all of the videos where Chief Moore makes an appearance, I have never seen him without a smile and a nice gesture or words to everyone - including anyone recording incidents. Truly a class act and someone I would love to work under.

Kudos to the Rescue Companies there - i did a heck of a lot of heavy rescue training in my day but in my area I never put the skills to test. These guys are at a higher level than most people i knew in those days.

Thank you, Skyler. Great coverage! What a horrible occurance!! Looks like a kids Spiderman back back on the rubble. Someone should pick it up for the child. I guess this would have been extremly avoidable. There are going to be a lot of lawsuits. The owners are in a terrible position. Blessings to the FDNY and EMT's. I pray that there is no victims with horrific accident. ABC News article stated 178 complaints in the last two years and open103 violations that dated back to may of 2019. Owner submitted their own recent report in March of 2021, which found seven ipen vilations, including unsafe facade. A 2020 inspection found cracked brick and losse, damaged mortar on the buildings' facade. No structural violation. When building start showing cracks in facade, they truly need more intense inspections of inside the building apartment/basements and digging the grow to see what is actual happening that is causing the cracking of bricks.

In a photo it shows that the corner of the building was being supported by a pillar not known if it was made with a steel center covered with stone which is were the collapse started .

Great coverage!!! As with most situations like this, it is likely a combination of things that caused it to collapse. An already structurally weak building, vibrations from heavy equipment, saturated soils from hard surface removals during road work, etc.

@@SkylerFireYes, Skyler it's a transit! To measure angles! Horizontal & vertical angles. A measurement is taken and log & rechecked, at a regular time, 5, 10 , 15 minutes to see if movement is taking place. I will be very interesting to know what type of construction was taking place on or in the building? Always Great Coverage👍2N2!

From the preexisting scaffolding i think that the collapse could be due to failure of temporary supports for the wall while construction work was underway.

They are called structures specialists. Some are full time firefighters with special training but on most FEMA task forces they are structural engineers who volunteer their time.

German and French firefighters are well equipped with futuristic helmets, high quality outfits and very modern trucks.
