Hi Gabby, I don’t usually chat but the prickly bindweed is blackberry bramble, it’s probably worse than bind weed when it starts growing, unfortunately weed killer is probably the only way to get rid, but unfortunately it will kill all your lovely plants, good luck with your garden, love watching you, you always make me laugh
Love the new channel name. Our garden has that round the sides, comes from under the fence and is annoying. Most of my gardening involves trimming the neighbours bushes growing over or their weeds growing under x
Hi Gabbie. Put all your plants in pots. Get some cheap washing powder from B&M (Easy is only £5 for a big box) and sprinkle it generously along the bottom of the fence, then pour water over it using a watering can. An elderly man told me this works better than weed killer.
Gabby I’ve just read you can actually contact your local council about the bind weed affecting your garden from neighbouring properties. I live in Scotland and don’t want it here 😅 It sounds horrendous to get rid of but taking your plants away and potting them up into pots just in case there’s roots of it within your plants would be a good idea, it would be awful to take it it over to the other side of your garden by just shifting your plants! Then weed killer I’m afraid Jen
Hi Gabby, this stuff is evil and so hard to eradicate . When I moved into my home I had a huge garden to tidy, house was empty for 2 years. There was an overgrowth of brambles and bindweed everywhere, had a huge amount removed but it comes back, it's evil. I ended up putting damp proof membrane down and gravel then pots with plants everywhere and everytime I see a few runners come under my fence I rip them out.
I pull my bindweed, which is morning glories by the way, it just makes it 'mad' and it keeps coming back. It's voracious!! Make this and spray it all under your fencing and just in front of it where it is coming in from the other yard. Fill a container with 1 gallon of white vinegar. Add one tablespoon of dish soap to the vinegar. Optional: Pour in 1 cup of salt. Mix the solution thoroughly until ingredients are well combined. Pour your desired amount into a garden sprayer.
Gabby - you SHOULDNT have to! But offer to go over the fence, and help them. They win and most importantly YOU WIN! 👍🏼❤️ - or move all your beautiful plants and put down a weed killer along your fence. Good luck! 🙏🏼🕊️
My suggestion is to put your perennials into pots temporarily. Get some vinegar and put vinegar all over the weeds, then put some garden cover over the ground, put some more soil and peat moss over the cover and replant your plants. Vinegar is safer than weed killer.
I would have any plants in pots or raised beds but that's really annoying, have tried emailing gardener's world on radio 4? Probably not but I occasionally listen to that station and it comes on. 🙂💛
Live in Florida and that weed looks like we have here, except ours stinks. Hence the name, Stinkweed. Had nice thorns on it (wore leather gloves), and it loved the ground and the oak trees. I used to collect the seed pods (which were orange in color) to help keep it from spreading. You couldn't spray to kill it. Agricultural strength herbicide had to be painted on the leaves. Unless you owned a farm, it couldn't be purchased. Plus, it causes cancer.
Boil the kettle & pour straight on the weed. Long & tedious job but it will kill anything. I'm sure you'd also have a legitimate case for a complaint to the local council if you want to go that way.
I feel your pain I have problems with my neighbours ivy they just let there garden grow out of control and its now trying to eat mine. Bloody wan😜👆rs some neighbours are. I think I would by some root killer and spray it that's what I did and it's killing the ivy it's a long headache process but it's working. 🎉
@@Gabrielerandone if I had your address I’d mail you some. Can’t find you on FB. Not trying to get up into your business I just love doing nice things.
You could dig you plants up and pot them, move them away from the fence so you can use some weed killer it’s about the only thing that get rid of bind weed
Hi Gabby battle of the bindweed how annoying can neighbours be 🤬 is it your new neighbours or have they been there a long time? , you're doing a great job😊x
Thank you Jackie! It's not the new neighbours, it's the ones next to them. The new neighbours do need to control it too, but they've not long moved in, and they have so much going on, (new move) I blame the bint at the end, and her ever growing bloody shed 🤣Xxx
@@Gabrielerandone"I blame the bint at the end"😂. You are so funny Gabriele, everyone of your videos as me laughing within minutes. Thanks for that 😁 . Enjoy the rest of your day 👍😊❤️
It's a shame you have to have all that trouble because your neighbor want keep their yard in control. I would report them. For a sunburn you can use burn gel for real burns to help relieve the pain. Greatly enjoy your channel.
I would just ask your neighbour if I could go in their garden then pour bleach or industrial weed killer all over it. Hate pain I the arse neighbours. Mine feeds birds, not sensible with high feeders etc. No with full loaves of bread and left over food so yeah rats have a full on 3 course meal cos of her, she infuriates me. I've asked her to stop but she doesn't 🤬
Oh no you poor thing!!!! That is awful! I know someone a few streets away who does that, even plops their left over dinner out for any wildlife to take it.. so odd! My next door neighbours are OK, they have a lot going on as just moved in, it's the bint at the end, won't sort her state out, and it's venturing everywhere. I can't stand her....xxx
