🌳🌳BEST PARK IN BANGKOK - Benjakitti Forest Park - with skywalk, lotus ponds, amphitheater, GREEN!🌳🌳

That's so cool - we LOVED the boardwalks!! They're so unique and really fun to have in a park, especially in the middle of a huge city! Also.....does that mean mother's day changes dates in the future if the queen has a different birthday?! Or it will always be Aug 12th?

@@NataliesPassport Actually, Nation Mother's day and birthday of King Rama 9's Queen are the same date so Nation Mother's is still be the same date but birthday of King Rama 10 is different date.

The Rama IX park's been on my list to go to for SO long but we still haven't been!!! We'll have to try to go really soon! Is that your favorite?!

@@NataliesPassport It s really nice in in there since it older the trees are biger but not aged yet like Lumphinee (this one is 100 yrs old and totally need an upgrade) there are international garden concept such as Chinese British or Maze in Suan Luang rama IX, during winter this park will add more winter flowers, its also the best time to visit if you not plan to go there often cause it a bit hard go get there since the new monorail line near the park wont open until end of next year. The new section of Banjakitti park is the reproduce of how Bangkok used to be before turn into the the city. The whole city was once swamp land / wetland like what you saw in Bangjrachao or Koh Kred. its easy to dig canals thats why it used to have hundred thousands of canals in Bangkok which later on most of them fill up and turn into the concrete road for car. But there are still thousand of canal remain until today most of them being abandoned or turn into sewer luckily some of them being renovate into a nice clean canal but still got of work to do. The last huge wetland near Bangkok used to be at Suvarnabhumi airport (the name was cobra swamp) which as you know it fill up and turn into the airport. But there still rain and Bangkok need a place to hold water during the high tide (Bangkok land elevated just few metres above the sea level in average it even lower than Amsterdam city centre in fact) so the new swamp being dug which is Nong Bon water sport centre i mentioned it not actually a public park cause nornally Thai public park wont allow pet inside but this one is allow if you like to see where local bring their pet (mostly dog) to walk. Just try this place out at the evening it also a good place to run or rent the bike to ride around too this is unseen and where the local really go.

King and Queen just visited for the official opening ceremony 🙂on 2nd Aug .12thAus is the queen mom 's birthday and a national mother day. I guess the government would like to contribute honour to the queen mom that this year she is 90 year olds 👍

@@bunterngkhemwong I just looked up Minburi - it's not too far!! But I know what you mean. We live close to Chatuchak and we rarely go down to Sukhumvit area now 🤣 it is worth it though to go see the park one day!!

😱 I can't even imagine growing up around there and how much it has changed since! It seems like Bangkok is constantly changing so much!! I know you love cultural differences and stuff (so not in a negative way at all, just informative) I'm not even used to parks having 'openings'! I'm used to being able to enter a park from anywhere! So sometimes it's still confusing to have to follow a fence to find the opening!! lol
