There’s a lot of good points to Ocala too y’all are focusing too much on the bad and not the good. Of course there are a lot of Sirens there’s 3 hospitals in Ocala and if you choose to hang out in the druggie areas then of course that’s what your gonna hear and be irritated by. There in every town seriously. Step out and look at all the Beautiful horse farms natural springs and beauty it’s there to see and experience.
I agree totally! When you stay in a cheap motel downtown you're not going to have a good experience unless your into that scene! I'm from Ocala and lived and was just watching to see where they were going and if I knew anyone!
I'm from ocala. The place is growing fast and experiencing plenty of development. This was a horrible review. How do you review ocala without hitting up Ale House, the Southeast historical district, or the equestrian center.
Been to Ocala many times Vacationed in Ocala never had any of the problems that you are talking about. Even thinking of moving there. Beautiful city. Hopefully next time you get a chance to see the real Ocala.
If you were staying at the motel where this video started. That was where all the drug addicts stayed. As for hearing sirens all night you were right across the street from not 1 but 2 hospitals. Also on hwy 200 you are only a couple miles from the ghetto. Ocala has gotten bad with the druggies in the last few years but so far there are no homeless camps on the edge of the road, yet. I've lived in the Ocala areas for over 30 years and will take it over Atlanta or even Orlando any day.
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS yes they tore the druggy motel down and built the one I was talking about a couple months. But it's still a bad part of town. And the addicts still hang out around it since it's been their home for so long.
I absolutely love being a resident of downtown historic Ocala and i have absolutely none of the issues you speak of. Im sorry you had this experience here.
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS just hope next time your in town you have a more pleasurable experience. Its a shame that 5 or 6 blocks over from where you were residing for the night are some of the m9st beautiful old fl homes and estates on tree lined streets of silence.
There's not wrong with Ocala per se but generally speaking most of others places is same after the pandemic you will be surprised how great is Ocala compared to others places.
That’s my second home. I was there this past weekend. It’s change lots in the past 20 years. It’s lost the small country town feeling since people from Orlando started to move in. . I miss old Ocala.
I love Ocala, they must have gone to a bad section as most of it is super nice, I go there all the time. They are about 2 blocks from the Hospitals ( two huge Hospitals side by side) so of curse ambulances, as older people fall, etc.
I am from Ocala and it is a very different place... decided to move back in 2021 and now there are addicts all over. They walk into our job and cause issues. One even tried to rob us at gunpoint, except he thought the plastic fork in his hand was a gun. Homeless everywhere, crime going up, roads getting worse in quality and rapid building of gated communities causing housing inflation. It breaks my heart and I am getting ready for a second cross country move as a result.
Live here in Ocala my entire life and if u think Ocala is wild u havent been around long. Yeah u stay over off west hwy 40 by hwy 200 yeah of course but just like every city smdh
I was raised here, not born here, but I have seen soo many changes not for the better, but worst. This use to be a peaceful relaxing town, but soo many people moved here change the whole atmosphere and the traffic is awful !! A small town that's growing too big so fast !! Slow cala it was called then, hey, I liked it that way, now, it's a total mess!!!
I live 20 miles south of Ocala and can vouch that Ocala is an armpit! Meth heads, and now pills are tough to get everyone is on heroin. I hate it here!
No one seems to talk about west Ocala and I wonder why? And so you know I do not mean On Top of the World or Del Web. Look I work in Marion County as a installer/tech and I have been everywhere and there is a real issue in Ocala. Most people wont see it or know about it cause that what they want example Village Green, before it got torn down, There was time cops would not go in there. There is a huge Cocaine, Meth, and pill problem here and its so bad it reminds me of Tampa, FL in the 80s' and 90s' where I am from. I am not saying Tampa is better it still has major issue areas but no where as bad as it use to be.
I do like that more Cubans are moving to the area and Cuban restaurants are staying to pop up. But the Mexican food if not so good compare to SW FLORIDA that is.
@@tendersoulsretreat5863 exactly, culture has nothing to do with race. Cuban is not a race, is nationality of many colors. Has nothing to do with been racist! I’m happy many New Yorkers and New Jersey are moving to Ocala. There great people and bring great change to Ocala. Let me guess... me saying that makes me a racist as well. You’re to tender my liberal friend.
I live in Summerfield and on weekends me and mom spend 4 hours in the same neighborhood for yard sales shopping we find garage sales all over like 10 of them each weekends
A friend at work said she heard it was a good place to live. Sounds like at least some of Ocala is no longer liveable. I hope they don't become all ghettos and gated communities.
Bro I appreciate your video on my city I’m all over moron county aka Ocala but ya I say the same thing over the Yeah over the last few years been out of town is moving here driving all fast it’s a wreck damn net every fucking day bro literally every day I was here wen the city was slocala and the motel ur probably was at was on pine 441 south somewhere ya pine wat we we call it the scroll etc
Ocala has turned into a dump. 25 years ago it was actually a desirable location. No longer. Ocala must be attracting a lot of people moving out of Miami-Dade/Broward. Only logical explanation how a place can turn so wretched in a short amount of time. They ruin every place they move to.
- Florida is a flat, hot, humid swamp. You are pretty much stuck indoors for half the year with the air conditioner on. Sell now while the market is up 👌
What kinda Florida are you talkin bout we definitely ain’t stuck in the house around here. Hence why so many people come down here this isn’t the Midwest
