Great video! I have a Polk sub. RCA/Aux inputs in the back. Is it possible to have my active speakers and sub as a crossover, where my active is mids and Hi’s my sub just lows? Via headphone jack or a non mic channel like a 3 or 4 channel? I have a Mackie VLZ -402 mixer. One set of main output. Thank you
Thank you sir 👍 I have a question for you. Can you upload a video of how to set up pioneer CDJ 200 , not 2000 with serato, traktor or rekordbox. Apparently the CDJ has to be time coded and Ime just wondering how to do this !! Thank you very much sir in advance. 👍
Thank you for the tips...I just baught the Pyle mixer with bluetooth and this video will help me how to connect my sub. Also learned about balance and unbalanced connectors
Hi Robin, I am using a Yamaha MG16XU mixer for my band and my Roland drum kit. I am using the group out 1-2 for my drums so I can get a stereo output and the drums won't come out through the mains unless I need them to. I have the mixer paired to a Harbinger S12 sub and then out to two VARI 2312s so I can take advantage of the crossover function on the S12. All in all I am happy with the sound I am just curious what cables I should be using to connect the group outs to the two inputs on the subwoofer? I am currently using XLR cables with XLR to 1/4" adapters.
hi. I see that you are a professional and I have a question. I have a xenix 1002fx mixer, an active subwoofer vq1500d and an active speaker b212d, all from behringer. what cables should I use and where should I get the audio signal from the mixer to have separate control over each of the two above. thanks for the help. I dont understand verry well what you say, sorry.thanks a lot.
Hi sir, question. if i will buy rockville RPM870 Powered Mixer, where should i put/plug - in the Rockville 2x RBG 15" DSP Powered Subwoofers? And do you think the mixer will handle enough the subs.? Thank you in advance.
Thanks for the concise tutorial. So do I understand correctly that it is safe to connect an active sub-woofer to a mixer-amp monitor out, when it does not have a dedicated output jack for a subwoofer?
Thank you for the sharing. grateful to share on the ways to connect a eurolive e1800x subwoofer either in the passive or bi-amp mode, having only the speakon and no other entry. Thnx again
Thank you for a good explanation. Just a question, how can I connected my powered subwoofer to the mixer or from the mixer to the subwoofer. I got Alto Mixer 1202.
i have a yamaha MG24 mixer that has a STmono out next to the mains with a control slider, my velodyne sub only has RCA in's, how can i safely go from balanced XLR to the RCA on the sub ?? i read some places to jump pin 1 and 3 with 2 as signal and other places say only 1 sleeve and 2 signal.. very confusing
Could you tell me the best way to set volume and master controls when you are using two mixers (Pioneer RX2 & Bose T8S). I have a master and volume control on the Pioneer XDJ RX2 which is then connected to the Pioneer Bose T8S which also has a volume and master control? The T8S then goes to powered speakers.
On the Bose speakers start by setting them to "Unity" which is at 0 gain or half way up if its a circular dial. You can always turn them up a little bit if needed. On my Pioneer xdj rx2 I set the master volume and trim on the deck channels to about 0 to +3 on the master signal. It should be plenty loud. You can make small adjustments to the trim knows if you need to from there. Hope this helps.
I have a mackie pro fx16v2 and am looking for an aux send for my powered subwoofers so that I have control of them separate from my mains. How do I do that with this board? I want the lows from all channels to process lows through the subwoofers. It would also be great to not have the kick drum slap through my mains if you can help me with that. Thanks
whats the best value for money subwoofer; modern, lightweight, small foot print, etc; with decent power and good bass to play Reggae and Soul etc; EV, FBT, Mackie, RCF etc? HELP PLEASE!
I asked about this on another video. I wanted a to have a separate channel for subwoofers. I have just bought a Mackie FX12v3. It has a sub out. Can I use the sub outs and control the sub sound using the Sub slider?
Just replied to the other video You could but you will never have any more Bass than equal to or Less than your Mains. If you are looking for more Bass at lower volume levels look at the Monitor output. Now you can have all the Subwoofer with No Mains.
I still don’t understand if you should connect a sub first or the main speakers first and then the sub? I have a DJ pioneer controller mixer that has XLR and I usually connected to my main speakers first then to the subwoofer and it seems to work that way as well. It seems to work both ways but is there a proper way?
Think bottom up when connecting speakers for one sub split to two Tops on stands, or two even if you have them stacked 2 high with your speaker on top of that. more then that I would run a box to control the output Gain. ( This would Make a Great Video )
Dear Robin, I can't hear my (or rather the output is very low) 800 watts RMS PA subwoofer when it is run directly from DENON DJ MIXER (45watts), hwoever my 200 watts RMS 2 -way PA speakers run fine from the DJ MIXER , ......the subwoofer will run now problems out of my computer external audio interface , and is very powerful ....do I need to setup a stage mixer as an intermediate from my DJ MIXER ? and plug the subwoofer in to that? many thanks Jonny
so is there no need to EQ the aux channel? like, roll all top end off? i have a 2nd mixer, would it be an idea to run the aux channel though it and eq there? or should I say fuck it and go buy a crossover
Hello I'm having a problem connecting a Yamaha DXS 18 subwoofer to a Soundcraft 8fx notepad audio mixer. I would like to know how to connect subwoofer to audio mixe4 and also not distorting. My speakers got hot and shutdown. Can you Please help out.
I have XLR input in my subwoofer. Im gonna use Monitor out. Do i use balanced or unbalanced cable? Edit: My subwoofer says Balanced input so i think i use balanced cable then
When using a Monitor (AUX Send) out you have the option of both balanced or unbalanced, seeing that your sub only has XLR I would go with balanced TRS - XLR Cable or unbalanced TS - XLR (unbalanced Cable only when using FX Send)
why do you want stereo to a subwoofer, its a mono module..? My sub dose not have stereo RCA inputs(red/white) only one(black) that should be a mono rca... right? you make me confused... :P
I have one 4 channel dj mixer with master & booth out (RCA). One pair of powered JBLSRX828sp subs. One pair of JBLSRX835p full range speakers, both with XLR in and out. I want a small sound mixer I can run from my main DJ mixer and plug both the Subs and Tops(full range) speakers into so I can control the volume of both the subs and tops separately. What mixer and cables will I need?
Someone said I can use my Yamaha 400I pa with a subwoofer to play deeper bass. I have a home theatre Yamaha subwoofer with 1 rica input and a power and volume knob.... can I use them together, I need the rca to 1/4 inch
