My great grandfather was on the front lines of D-Day but he thankfully survived and loved a happy life, you country the allies that helped us win D-Day us America is thankful for your duty. my grandfather was a WWII fighter he was first in the holocost then escaped to become a soldier. He had the chance to be at a home and get some rest but kept fighting for what he stands for.

Loved the video I love WWII my grandfather fought in it he was a very decorated admiral with the navy cross, 2 Purple Hearts, WWII victory medal, bronze and silver star, the legion Merit, the distinguished service medal, distinguished service cross, Navy distinguished service medal he served 20 years in the navy before coming home to the USA to set down roots in Minnesota god bless America 🇺🇸

This makes me happy because my great grandpa was fighting in WW2 but got shot.He recovered but then died of a heart attack shortly after the war ended.😢😢😢😢

We had to observe the 2 minute silence in school. We came in 5 mins before our usual time during break so we could remember all these heroes who tragically lost their lives. Lest we forget.

This makes me remember my grand uncle, Francisco D. Duerme, he was a Navy in the Persian Gulf, as in March 31, this year. He died. He was buried in Forest lawn cemetery. He married Angie Mozo, then had 2 children, Franco and Vincent, Lest we forget Francisco D. Duerme 1962-2023
