I don't think I've ever had a proper homemaking routine. I think I've always used this system except when I did flylady which just didn't work for me. I prefer this system too! I had to come back and watch because I got busy making dinner! I agree! Crockpot all the way during school year. Love you friend! Another great video!

@herhomemakingheart She said thank you so much! Also, those sheets are $14. But you get 160, and when I was looking around on Amazon, that is a really good deal. Most are either that or almost that for only 80 or fewer sheets.

@ourforsurelife3334 Yes! I just find cleaning this way takes away from the stress! Just cleaning as we go. I know it doesn't work for everyone but with young children I find it really helps to not get anxious when like you said we aren't able to get to it on the exact day we had planned. I have daily routines that help me to keep on top of the house. I always put a load of laundry in every morning and sometimes do one at night if I have a lot, and dishes every morning after my Bible routine and breakfast! Those routines help me to stay on track, but they are more like a rhythm than a routine I think! 😊

I homeschooled my kids from day 1. My youngest graduated 2 years ago. When things got chaotic or I was having a hard time getting things done, I would give myself grace and just focus on the homeschooling and then the must get done. All other chores had to wait until the next day or when I could slip them in. Once you get your rhythm for the year of school you are in, it does get easier. Routines went out the window for me too! I had to switch to the way you are doing it. I hope you are having a great week!

Oh!!! Are there any tips for us moms who are in the upper middle school early high school years? I feel like the older they get, the more overwhelmed I get. 😅 Yes, I agree with you on giving yourself grace. It's so hard when you see things that need to be done. But like you said, ultimately, homeschooling comes first. I hope you are having a lovely week as well! 🩷🩷

@@ourforsurelife3334 One tip I have is if you find the curriculum you chose is not working for you , don't be afraid to change it. It is ok. One size does not fit all. It is YOUR homeschool. When my kids got to highschool, they didn't need me to "teach" . They could do most things themselves. They just needed me if they had questions, correct and grade. Look online for free curriculum. Even if you only use it for a supplement/enforcement it will help. I hope this is what you were looking for and it helps you. You got this!! 😁

I’m starting to get anxious about school starting 🙈 we are moving next week! It’ll be an interesting start to our fall but I think we’ll just take it one day at a time and focus on the basics. Thanks for the encouragement Raylynn ☺️ rhythm vs. routine sounds good.

Hey friend 🤗... I'm feeling anxious about school and chaos too. Housework is always challenging but extra challenging during busy seasons. I've always been more of a rhythm cleaner than a schedule cleaner. Give yourself grace and focus on the most important things. That's my best advice. Happy Birthday Raylie 🎉.

Aww Happy Birthday to Raylie! ❤😊🥳🎂🧁 Those are cool washing machine sheets! I’ve wondered about trying something like that. Routines keep failing for me! A rhythm sounds like a great idea. Even I recently thought about writing down everything that needs to be done and check them off as I go. I love just throwing chicken breast into the crock pot with BBQ sauce. I pair it with rice and a vegetable. It’s my daughter’s favorite dinner! And I’m making it on Thursday! It is so easy easy 😊

During breaks between each subject in school I pick 1 job and do it. After I'm done we start the next subject. It works for me anyway.

I have no idea how you cope on one wage. I had to work between 4 jobs as a single parent to pay the bills. I had 4 children, and under no circumstances could I have home schooled and stayed home. We would have had no food and home.

@ourforsurelife3334 My son got married 2 years ago and has a son who's 1 end of August. His wife has chosen to stay at home and has given up work. Sadly, my man died, and I was left with 4 when i was 32. One of my jobs was working in a school, and I was so happy I couldn't home school. 😂😂😂
