Hi Lauren! Love the new couch, looks great. I start my Christmas decorating on Nov 1st. Love to see Pepe and Henry playing together! Have a wonderful week!! 🧡
I decorate for Christmas the weekend before or the weekend of Thanksgiving. I decorate for Fall mid-September and leave it until I decorate for Christmas. I don't decorate at all for Halloween as it has never been a favorite of mine. I use pumpkins in my fall decor but no jack-o-lanterns. I love seeing all your holiday decor and it's so nice especially with kiddos. Our daughter is grown and we have no grandchildren so minimal decorating for us. Take care Lauren. Love your videos!!
Hey Lauren, what a beautiful new couch. But honestly I don’t know how you manage keeping things clean with four active kiddos! As for decorating, I start fall decorating at the first of September and then Christmas decor the first of November. I can’t wait to get started. I had invited all my friends over for a Christmas lunch last year. I went overboard with beautiful decorating and cooking and baking all the food. Then I got really sick from a medication I was taking. Had to go to the ER. Had to cancel the very day of the party. So we’ll try again this year. Hello to kitty Henry and puppy Pepe💜💜💜
I decorate for fall in the beginning/middle of September; decorate for Halloween around three weeks before Halloween; then it's back to fall decor for Thanksgiving; and I decorate for Christmas either the weekend of Thanksgiving or the following weekend.
I decorate for Christmas after Thanksgiving! I used to do it on Nov 1st, but I slowed it down and started enjoying each holiday by not rushing to the next.
I normally Christmas decorate the first week in November. I'm seriously thinking about waiting this year until the Friday after Thanksgiving. I haven't done that in many years. It would definitely be a different thing for me. Time will tell. Lol. I never do any Halloween decor. Hope you have a great week.
when the kids were little I always decorated the day after Thanksgiving, now I need to start earlier especially with work and the week days being so much busier.
We spent the last week moving our last child into his first apartment and redoing his room. He is 21 and has high functioning autism, he is adjusting very well and enjoying having his own place We are now empty nesters.
HAPPY FALL SUNDAY IN OCTOBER Lauren, family, fur babies, and feathered friends. Our family does not celebrate Halloween. We decorate for Christmas after Thanksgiving. We are empty nesters now, however, our home is where the family and grandchildren hang out for the Holidays, so we do have to decorate for Thanksgiving and Christmas. STTB
I decorate about for Christmas about a week after Halloween, but I do it in stages.. First week is putting up the Christmas tree and lighting on it. Also putting the train at the bottom and on the tree. The second week is adding the ornaments and garland on the tree. Also, add a little Christmas tree upstairs. The night before Thanksgiving, I decorate outside with wreaths and garland and add garland to the stairs inside as well. Doing it all in one day would take over 8 hours.
Fun front yard suggestions...a little fortune telling mini house or enclosure with crystal ball and kids could guess where the crystal ball is in a shell game or something like that...for extra prize. Something kids interactive? I know thats more work!! 😅😅😅 Just some thoughts 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Christmas in my house goes up the day after Thanksgiving, but we do put the Christmas tree up in mid November, I like it up by Thanksgiving. I love traditional Christmas colors, red and green, golds and silver, I don’t really follow trends like browns and blacks but I do enjoy watching those decor videos.
Loving the Halloween deco, and the coach is super nice....and your puppy is too cute for words......Can't wait to shop! SO exciting Lauren.......I decorate for Christmas day after Thanksgiving 😉😘
Thanks for sharing. Love your new sofa. I get so excited seeing you have posted another video. You have turned this home into a beautiful inviting place like you did your Victorian.
I like traditional… I like to bring nature in. So pine cones and cedar swags …. Since we converted to an artificial tree a few years ago I miss the scent of pine at Christmas
I decorate for Fall in mid September that stays up until the weekend after Thanksgiving. I do a traditional Christmas decor. I don’t have the storage space to change Christmas decor from year to year. My children are all grown so I don’t do Halloween. I enjoy watching you decorate though I understand having to replace couches. When my five children were young I had to replace my couches about every five years
I keep forgetting you have short hair now, I was like "who's that girl walking into her living room??!😅😅😅 ( love the hair and of course all your videos and kittys/ pups!) 🎉❤
Because we get a real tree and tree farms here don't open until the weekend after Thanksgiving, we go then to get our tree. I usually start decorating that weekend too. So it Halloween until Nov 1st, then the fall comes back out until after Thanksgiving. I like traditional as well with a focus on nutcrackers ❤
Pepe is happy and adorable ❤. Halloween is big on our street, we start decorating for Christmas December 1st. I do a bronze, cream and gold theme for Christmas. Traditional reds and greens on front porch.
I always used to decorate thanksgiving weekend but the last three years I decorated very early and I realized the closer I got to Christmas I wanted to tear it down being I was over it….back in the day we kept it up til after new years…so I’m going to decorate later in the season …
Hey Lauren, from central Nebraska. Thinking of doing more of a green colored Christmas. We will see since we live on SS pretty much plus my part time earnings. I like to decorate day after Christmas. When we had a house full of kids (5) we would put Christmas music on, do chicken wings and hot cocoa usually. Now hubs and I live in a 900 of home which I like so can't do much besides trying to do a more curated holiday decor. ❤
I usually do traditional gold and glitzy. The gold works great for our lighted boat parade and New Year’s Eve parties, but we are recovering from hurricanes Helene and Milton…so sadly I don’t know when or how much we will decorate this year. We usually decorate early November since we go to our daughter’s for Thanksgiving. ❤
I think I am going to start Christmas the last week of October. I don’t do Hloween…edited to add! Your videos are so calming and I can just always enjoy watching
I normally wait until November first but I’m getting a new tree and I gotta make sure it works and if it’s already plugged in I might as well start decorating 🤷🏻♀️ If you give a Christmas mouse a Christmas tree 😂😂
Lauren Halloween is my least Favorite “ Holiday” so I do not decorate for that, but do love Fall recommend that definately goes up Oct 1st and Christmas the Day after Thanksgiving. I do however appreciate all you “ spooky Halloween” decorators tho… looking forward to what your new adventure is and of course Christmas over the “Top With Lauren”🍁🎃🍏💜
I had not thought of doing Christmas before Nov 1st but I am Sososo ready this year, don’t know what it is? But so ready to get Christmas up 🎄🎅 Wanted the blk top- it’s already sold out 😔😔
No! We actually had leather for a long time before the kids were walking and the dogs scratched them to shreds so I have always a little worried to go back.
@@LaurenNicholsen my kids are 10 and 11 so they do trick or treat I just don’t do the decorations… your decorations are really cool though. You are talented.
I can’t for the life of me understand why anyone would buy a white couch that have young children. Don’t get me wrong, I love white couches, they’re for adulthood. lol. Dorene Weiss
