I had so much fun making this and it actually looks so nice in real life. I used a small glass jar for my mushroom but you could use a larger size. And I guess the benefit of using a larger jar would be that you could put some electric fairy lights inside ^^

Hello Mika!!! The mushroom house looks so adorable and comforting that when I was planning to make a little house for my cat this video gave me the idea to make a large mushroom house for her to enjoy and relax inside. It may be challenging since I am making out of boxes and homemade air clay, but I'll try my best lol!

Oooh that is quite the project! I would maybe suggest using a different material? I saw cat houses made from thick felt fabric and that could be cut and stitched into a big mushroom ^^ just a thought

Oooh yes!! I would definitely use the idea of the thick felt fabric since I definitely think that it'll look more and feel cozy for my cat so that she can stay warm!!! Thank you for the idea Mika I never thought about it lol ♥

I wouldn't recommend using air dry clay for that unless you plan on sealing it. Fabrics are always a better option for pets as the material provides comfort as well as durability.

Thank you! You can use any colored air dry clay, it shouldn't really matter too much since you can paint it over with some white gesso =)

@@dannica7700 super late response! youtube doesn't tell me about reply's to comments =/ anyways for the clay I got mine at local art store, its pretty common here, think its a german brand originally. But seems a pretty common clay in general, but I think any type of air dry clay would work fine ^^

Yea you would have to coat it with some sort of sealant to protect it from the elements, I think mod podge has an outdoor sealer version. =)

Thanks! The tool is called "color shaper" I think originally it was meant for painting but it works really well with clay projects!

Очень понравилось, такой миниатюрный получился, хорошая идея для подарка, ну например во внутрь можно положить серёжки или колечко да и цепочку можно туда же, а потом подарить, а то все используют ювелирку по стандарту в коробочки как это принято, а тут такой исклюзив класс ❤❤❤

Heya! I didn't have any trouble with chipping or flaking off. But it could be down to the clay. I always use Das clay and never had issues =)

Air-dry clay sticks to glass if you make sure to properly adhere it. Wrapping it around it and making sure to encase it like shown in the video will work.
