- 1 kg of fresh tomatoes;
- 500 ml tomato juice or 2 tablespoons of tomato paste;
- 1 medium zucchini, approx. 200 gr;
- 2 medium potatoes;
- 2 large/medium onions;
- 2 bunches of green onions, optional;
- 1 carrot, 100-150 gr;
- 1 parsnip root or parsley root;
- a few leaves of celery leaves;
- 1 bunch of dill;
- 1 bunch of parsley;
- 1 bunch of lovage;
- 1 kapia or bell pepper;
- 1 seedless hot pepper;
- 20-30 ml sunflower oil;
- 2 liters of water;
- 1 teaspoon of salt, plus additional for personal taste
- pepper to taste;
For the semolina dumplings:
- 2 eggs;
- 8 heaping tablespoons of semolina;
- 1 pinch of salt;
Separate the eggs, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form, add the yolks mixed with a little salt, mix well, then add the semolina. Chill for 3-5 minutes, then drop spoonfuls into the soup.
