YESSS to reading back/editing while writing... LOL. i've accepted that editing actually does get me through drafting even if it IS slower (oops) !! I'm beyond excited to read the rest of Moths AHHH I can't stop thinking about my girl lark 😭 the first 2 parts of the book are so flawless and I'm SO hyped to see what you have in store for the end 🥹 💛 and honestly the word count you hit in 3 days is really impressive to me! i often can't even break 1000 words on an average day :')

KRIS AHH I'm still in such shock/joy that you enjoyed the first two parts!! everyone has their own pace for sure, idk how much longer I can keep up an average of 1k a day HONESTLY... tysm for watching

The grind for authors is a lot crazier than most people think. Most of us have jobs on top of our writing. I’m a senior in high school and on top of that I work out every day and run three miles. I’ve been trying to hit 2,500 words a day on my epic fantasy novel that will be around 180k-200k words. (Im about 100k words in) I’m ngl with school and gym and writing I’ve been so exhausted. Apparently I look pretty rough as I haven’t gotten a haircut in months and have been going to bed late and getting up at five to write before school. I might be going a little insane as I’ve been caught laughing to myself in class. I have ADHD so when I get focused on something I hyperfocus and I can’t stop until I complete it. I need help 😂

Those writing goals are crazy to me! I just wrote 2,500 yesterday and am pretty proud of myself:) Good luck querying! I just sent my first letter and manuscript sample to someone in mid February!

15:52 Yep. I have the _exact_ same problem. I blame middle school-university me for coming up with so many ideas, getting really into them, writing like five chapters, and then just forgetting about them altogether. The end result is lots and lots of practice with the start and no practice at all with the end (specifically for long-form content). Heck, if I didn't already have beta readers for my current project, the same would probably happen to that one, too. Part of me wonders if the solution is to just make a career out of writing short stories. (idk if that's even possible, though.) 🤔 24:34 At the very least, I'd be interested in reading it. These are the types of stories that I enjoy reading the most. [To clarify, I'm not talking specifically about the subject matter itself (although, I do love me a good horror/black comedy), but about stories that are just so uniquely tied to the author, and can only really be told by that author.] Oh, I didn't know that there was an open invite for your podcast. There's a part of me that wants to do it, but at the same time, the idea of being...perceived by people absolutely terrifies me, so idk. 💀💀💀 (Maybe I'll ask for a tentative spot for like a year and a half from now. Haha)

'Lots of practice with the start and no practice with the end' is such a good way of putting it! I think working on short form fiction has definitely helped me with that issue though, so it sort of balances out. thank you for the encouragement! I'll definitely keep chipping away at the draft and then consider next steps once I'm done. haha definitely let me know, I'm not 100% sure when I'll restart the podcast but hopefully it won't be too long!

I love you vlogs so much. I just wish there was more montages in it. Those are literally my favourite part!

Ahhh congrats on approaching the end of project months!! and loved what you said about any sins you commit being fixable before anyone reads it hahaha I relate, literally so important to keep in mind while drafting lmao. Hope the move goes well!!! And I’d be absolutely honored to be added to that list of future podcast guests if you would have me :)❤️

I go back and reread what I wrote after a session (usually a chapter). I just...like to know what I just did? I don't know, it's cathartic. If that's bad then I'm willing to make that sacrifice
