Definitely not discontinued. Anytime I go to Carl’s Jr. if I get a burger I also get the zucchini instead of the fries. I think I had it a couple weeks ago. It’s still there.
Something I noticed about farmers boys is that it’s almost always around big company warehouses(especially in cali) personally I thinks the chili cheese fries are 👍, but it’s mainly resourceful for the workers of the warehouses and construction workers 🙃
@@nabibbs2402 Wash them, dry them. Big ass pieces like these need more drying because the moisture will take longer to escape. You don't really need to do anything to let them dry while you prep something else. You could add salt and they probably should do that for this recipe because they look like big bland mushy sticks. It's a lot easier to get less mushy zucchini by cutting them the other way and getting small chips at pickle chip thickness, like Carl's Jr and Hardee's do.
What baffles me is I don't know where anyone could even find a recipe for fried zucchini like that. You can't just take a watery vegetable, dip in whatever batter you have laying around, then throw it in the fryer. Like, nobody with the ability to create and sell food to the public would even operate that way... it's just so weird.
Yeah, Farmer Boys IMO is a hair above McDonalds in terms of satisfaction. I know it's supposedly "fresher" and with better ingredients. I like the avocado on their burgers. But for some reason, it's always too dry and lacks flavor. And at that price point, I am guaranteed disappointment every time.
As someone that jumps between IE and LA, Farmer Boys in the IE hits a different way. Also, you didn't get Chili Ranch! It's one of the better kept secrets when it comes to dipping sauces.
Wow! The Famer Boys by me is really good! The zucchini is my favorite! They cook it a little longer so it’s not so crunchy! And always must dip in ranch! As far as burgers, I like the one that has all the veggies on it, it’s pretty big! I forget what it’s called. Quality must vary from location.
The "Barn Burner" burger from over 5 years ago was 🔥 they used fried jalapeño coins! Now they use gross pickled jalapeños from a can...they certainly down graded the past few years
farmer boys just sucks. i’ve been there multiple times because i get coupons in the mail and the food looks good and they claim everything is fresh and what not and it seems a lot of people like it for it being better than most fast food. i’ve been like 4 times and didn’t use the coupons only used them for the pictures of food and that was tempting enough to give it another shot. after the 4th time it was enough to make not ever want to go back to farmer boys. absolutely trash food for the price.
