1 story ESH first off if you are going to an engagement party or something that you think is engagement party there’s also a costume party what makes it appropriate for you to dress up as a corpes bride? Yes I get it they didn’t tell you that it was the wedding but if you’re going to an event that involves anything with wedding festivities like a bridal shower brunch for the bride the bachelorette party or even say for instance the supposed engagement party you don’t wear a wedding dress your costume didn’t need to involve a wedding dress
But it was a costume party and they didn't say anything about not wearing anything wedding thing. And the groom said it was fine even though op was more than willing to change, so it's not there fault and I honestly wouldn't think not to wear a dress to an engagement party since it was once again a costume party and there was no rules
1story not the asshole to an extent but yeh I get they didn’t say a dress code but you could of just gone in a dress I know corpse bride is technically a dress but I think they meant that you don’t have to wear average wedding guest dress so different dresses and tuxedos or like a sun dress or overalls but yeh I’m in middle
