Cassandre, I tried your recipe last night, substituting matcha powder with a vanilla bean. I used the same amount of condensed milk. The texture turned out beautiful!! It's too sweet but I love how smooth it is! Thanks so much for your tutorial. This is really the easiest and arguably the safest ice-cream recipe since it doesn't require raw eggs. Next time, I'll try reducing the amount of condensed milk to see that would affect the texture. Thanks again for your wonderful video. I look forward to trying more of your recipes. Please stay safe and healthy. 🥰🥰
Try out the recipe it’s very good the texture is so good compare to the ice cream we bought at the shop thank you for your sharing another new skill learned😍
Love this simple eggless recipe! I want to try it but the strong caffeine in matcha keeps me awake the whole night :( too bad for a matcha lover like me. But I still want to try this brilliant recipe. If I substitute matcha powder with a fresh a vanilla bean, should I use the same amount of condensed milk, milk and whipping cream? I don’t like desserts overly sweet so I want to reduce the amount of condensed milk but would doing so affect the texture of the icecream? I’d appreciate your advice. Merci, Cassandre!
Hello there, Yes, you can use the same amount of ingredients without matcha powder to make a vanilla taste ice cream. And you can reduce 10% of condensed milk to make it. 😊
Sure thing. We love rum raisin flavor. We use stainless steel or enamel container to store the ice cram. If you prefer one cup per person, you can buy some small ice cream cup to store it. 😊
Can’t find decent matcha powder in where I live :( If I use vanilla powder instead of matcha powder, how should I adjust the recipe and the amount of ingredients?
@@SweetDumpling So when substituting matcha powder with vanilla powder, if I use the same amount of condensed milk, would the result be too sweet? But if I reduce the amount of condensed milk by, say 30%, would the overall consistency of the ice-cream be affected? Would appreciate your advice. Merci, Cassandre!
Is vanilla powder sweet? If not, it should not affect the overall sweetness. In this ice cream recipe, condensed milk is used to replace the custard sauce as traditional recipe, so it's not recommended to reduce the amount too much , you can try to reduce it by 10%~15% to make it. 😊
@@SweetDumpling thank you for your comment. the vanilla powder i have is not sweet so I hope I can just follow your recipe exactly and get the same consistency. 😀
Hi there, that's brown sugar syrup, we call it 黑糖蜜 in Taiwan. It can be enjoyed with many Asian dessert. To make the brown sugar syrup, you can mix brown sugar with water in a pan and heat the mixture on low to medium heat. Stir the mixture occasionally while heating it. (2:1 ratio of sugar to water.) 😊
