My in laws live in Zaragoza, so I’ve been a lot, and I love it, especially el tubo. Those mushrooms …. Madre mía!! I’ll be there again in July, and my wife and I will download your tour. Gracias! 😊
Thank you for all your great videos from all over Spain. Zaragoza was the first city that I visited in Spain in the the mid 1980's and has always held a special place in my heart. I was able to finally visit it again in November of 2019. The city has grown and noticed a lot of changes, but after over 30 years, it should be expected. After viewing your videos on Zaragoza, I will be looking forward to be there in a couple of weeks for Semana Santa. I was looking for some places to try some food and hope to find some good places with the menu del dia.
Thank you, Alex, yes, the city has changed quite a lot, for the better, I think. Hope you'll have a great time when you return. The Miguería restaurant offers a menú del día we like, right at the entrance to El Tubo.
Thank you so much for your wonderful videos about Spain. We have found them to be so helpful to our planning for our upcoming first trip to Spain. Our original plan was 5 days on Costa Brava, 6 days at Torla-Ordesa, and then on to Barcelona for two weeks, doing many of the day trips you have recommended. We will have a rental car for the Costa Brava and Pyrenees portion of our trip. Our original plan was to return the rental car in BCN. However, after seeing your videos about Zaragoza, we have decided to take one day away from Ordesa to return the rental car in Zaragoza, spend the night, and take the train the following day to BCN. We are very excited about getting almost a day in Zaragoza, just wish it were longer! I have a couple of questions about food in Zaragoza that I'm hoping you can answer: (1) Under our circumstances (relatively short time, probably about 24 hours, in Zaragoza), would you recommend eating as depicted here (small bites in various bars) versus going somewhere for a menu del dia? (2) If the latter, I saw in a reply you posted to another question that you recommended Migueria for its menu del dia -- does that remain your recommendation? (3) Any other recommendations, particularly because we don't know if we will arrive in Zaragoza for the mid-day meal, so if we do a menu del dia, it may be for the evening meal. Thank you so much for all of your helpful videos and for any information you can provide in response to these specific questions.
Hello there! 1) it's really up to you, as you don't need to make any bookings in advance, play it as you go along. 2) La Miguería is fine indeed. 3) Menú del día is only served at lunch time. We describe how the menú del día works here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vA6fpHSdPuM.html All the best!
First, Happy New Year!!! 🎉 Wishing you and Cecilia all the very best for the New Year and always! Second, great informative video! We loved Zaragoza when we were there in October and are looking forward to return visit. Thanks to this video we will be armed and ready to enjoy the gastronomy at every establishment you mentioned! We can’t wait to get back to Spain and to your beautiful city.
Dear Tony: Your very informative Zaragoza video convinced us to do a day trip from Barcelona next month. Can you recommend a good value Menu del Dia in El Tubo. Thank you, Andy
What a great video and a mine of information on where to eat and drink in Zaragoza unfortunatly only stopping over one night but shall return to sample culinary delights.
Happy New Year Tony and your beautiful partner! We are going to Zaragoza in November. My only concern is : do these bars have gluten free menu. The food is so delicious, but can we eat it?
A belated happy new year to you too. Not all bars have a gluten free menu, you will have to ask one by one. All bars should have a menu detailing the ingredients of each preparation.
We will continue to watch your videos as going to Barcelona and Menorca for son’s wedding. Spain has always been on our bucket list hope we bump into you along the way 😊
Hola Tony, we have been watching your videos from Australia for a year now and really love your casual friendly style. You and your wife seem so nice! We were there in July this year as a one-night stopover from San Sebastian to Barcelona. Unfortunately, we picked the wrong accommodation location (it was a penthouse on de la Ribera but not so nice street level) and ate at the wrong place (Matisse Rivercafe was recommended but we where not impressed) and this soured. We weren't planing on coming back, but after your videos we are going to try again in 2025! Maybe we will see you then!
Hola Mark, many thanks for your kind words. Glad to hear you are giving Zaragoza a second chance! We should shortly visit my sister in WA. All the best to you!
Happy New Year to you and your family! I find your videos very engaging and informative. Zaragoza peaked our curiosity so we are including it in our itinerary this summer. Gracias!
As a weatherman and beer lover, I'm sad we missed Cierzo Brewing on our trip. I will say everyplace we ate in Zaragoza was excellent. Our favorite restaurants were Los Xarmientos and Tajo Bajo.
Im really happy that i found this video as im coming to Zaragoza this week 🙂 Great "easy going" video from the local man. Respect! Can"t get any better. P.s.: I think i will do everything from the video 🙂
@@ROADTRIPSpainandPortugalThanks. I really had a great time in city. And oh boy the food 🤤 Especially i like calamari with bravas sauce. As you said comfort food. Thanks again 🤟
