hehe, YOU are an artist friend, and I will be right here reminding you! I hope you give this one a try, it was so much fun, especially with those metallics~
Debbie, I love everything that you paint! You are one of my favorite uTube people that I follow. You teach with kindness! I ordered the palette stamp, but I didn’t get the acrylic pad that it goes on. Oh, well, I’ll give it another try. By the way, autumn (fall) doesn’t t begin till September 22 which is the Autumn Equinox. However, we women can’t wait for the seasons to change. My mother always said ladies didn’t wear white after Labor Day! But then, this was back in the very proper days.
Hi Angie I learned best with kindness too :-) Thank you, Im SO happy we found each other and you are enjoying everything I did end up adding the acrylic block for the stamp. lol.... Thank you for that reminder! Yes, I realized Fall is actually end of this month. (Mom said to me last week, Its the first day of Fall and I thought it was a bit early!) Yes, I love the changing of season, and Fall one of my favorites. Here is a link to that acrylic block for you too~ These stamps are so much fun, quite addictive! amzn.to/3XwR752
Thank you so much! Im thrilled to hear that, and has always been my drive to dot his work, share here on RU-vid, working with beginners, making something that can be intimidating, feel doable! It is certainly my pleasure friend!
Hi Newman, I used the Metallic Prism palette Here is a link to her sight, Im not affiliated with her. lisilinka.com/products/metallic-prism I typically use the Gold Series from MAB for over a year now and love it. mabwatercolours.com/products/golden-series-quarter-pan-gold-chrome-watercolour-paint-artist-palette-set-handmade-metallic-paint?_pos=17&_sid=49e799809&_ss=r
I watched you a few times and you are amazing. I just started into water painting and learning, I love it. Like you Fall colours are just my favourites. Love how you paint and teach at the same time. Thank you. Your painting palette that you are using, is it a 38 colours or 48. Just love the colours that you are using. What would you recommend for a player like me? ❤
Hi Germain, Im happy my teaching style is helping, (Its how I learned best decades ago too!) I love to make it fun, no pressure, and enjoyable, doable. Otherwise why do it? right? Anyhoo, The Mieliang , is a sister company of Paul Rubens who I love! The 36 set is perfect to start with and very affordable amzn.to/3ZuXFCP the 48 set has the metallics which if you dont have metallics this is a great set but extra not really a necessity (Cant believe those words just came out of my mouth!) amzn.to/4eb1wsx These are both fabulous sets to start with and I still use them and love them! You can also refill them when they get low with the Mieliang tubes, which is what I do. amzn.to/4g9pnL9 I hope that helps Most of all have fun, and thank you for joining me here :-)
I'm trying the pumpkin today.i really appreciate how you take time to explain each step.and the techniques of how to shade! It's always hard for me but with your teaching style I think I'm getting it!
@@patvickery6890 wonderful To hear Pat! It’s how I always learned best all the years. I especially need it to be fun and some what simple with some Challenge here and there as well. Always growing learning and celebrating our successes! 🌸🖌️🎨
Right?! They are a bit pricey, and I actually have been purchasing the MAB's for over a year, kind of obsessed actually, but these sure are fancy! and Beautiful!

This one was very hard to follow. I did buy the kit. And I tried to paint and to follow along. I’m thinking maybe because of the white parts? Or maybe because of the glazing? I still don’t understand the % of water to pigment. I got very frustrated. Mine looks ok. But I think I will listen from the beginning and then try again.
Hi Denise. You can always hold a pencil as I showed in the tutorial and draw very light lines so you can line up the white space. And even use a white crayon or wax pencil to color in those white spaces (although you cannot remove the wax later nor paint ontop of it once you put it there) Then begin painting around it as in the video. When I start to paint (i put this in the tutorial kit also) I use the lightest value of paint 20% to water 80%. then dab in a bit of color damp on damp. I let areas dry and go ing and build those layers. You can increase the paint 50% to 50% water for increasing the value of the paint becoming gradually darker in areas. Most of all just paint have fun, I hate to hear you became frustrated. I have other tutorials as well on pumpkins you can play with. Here is another pumpkin tutorial as well. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--fCDzkGKgbY.htmlsi=FcMDof6pzYWh7tUm And my beginner Playlist may have some helpful tips for you. ru-vid.com/group/PLGvRyB1lQxymyefAW8WOtx6r2eouR3Zi6&si=aKdsniJcdZvqvSV7

Lol, I have come to a place in my art where I tell myself, its just paper, paint, Play, have fun! And channel Bob Ross who reminds us Its just Happy Accidents! As well if my art is stressing me out, not enjoyable, why do it :-) Happy painting friend!
Great question Geoff - Ready? Pros of 100% cotton paper : Durability can handle more scrubbing, washes, glazes Better for really wet on wet with higher absorption Stays wet longer which can make a bit easier for beginners compared to cellulose papers 100% cotton can appear brighter, and deliver more consistency Cons: More expensive-for beginners who are learning, making more mistakes and practicing it can be quite costly Cotton paper in my experience can feel and appear a bit more textured. This can be a little more difficult for beginners. ( I always loved this characteristic myself) I always felt like when Im painting on more expensive paper, for practicing daily, and the volume I paint, It was not worth using all the time . It could also be a bit intimidating for beginners learning, they may not want to make mistakes, or use for practices and be intimidated by it. The Meeden 100% is a great brand, and price I use as much as the Artisto and it is 100% cotton~ I would use if gifting, or a commission, but not for my daily playing, and practicing. I hope that helps.
Good morning, Im glad, I hope it also inspired you to give it a try, I just love creating those lights, darks and of course the shimmer~ Happy painting friend!
Wonderful! Im glad it inspired you to give it a go. I had a lot of fun, and took my time, letting it evolve as I went. The sparkles were especially fun!

My gosh! 14 years old and loving watercolors, like me! Isnt it wonderful., stick with it, even if its only 15 stolen minutes here and there~ Please email me and I am happy to share the drawing with you as well to help. Im here for you and thrilled to be able to share all I know!
@@DebbieWalkerArtmadeeasy You're very generous and kind, I thank you very much for your solidarity helping, I would love that indeed. I already know about drawing, like anatomy, shading and few more I'm planning on doing! I'm a bit new in watercolor, but I've been learning and practicing after all practice is the mother nature of progress. Don't worry I am going to keep going in my journey in watercolor, I can send you each day my paintings, if it's not a bother to you of course, what is your email name? So we can communicate each other easily, but once again thank you for your kindness! 💖🙇 Also, apologies for the late response! Been busy practicing my martial art.
