Since I'm in so quickly, I just wanted to wish y'all a Merry Christmas! You have gifted the world so much love and positivity, folks just want to show you the love right back.
Thank you so so much for the kind words Eric, we just want to spread peace, love , and unity through music and our platform. We hope you have a blessed day and happy holidays 💜
I honestly wish more RU-vidrs had your thoughtfulness. So many family vloggers put up their po box and hint at what they like/want.They need to take a leaf out of your book. You`ve actually made me feel all warm and fuzzy ,and full of the true spirit of Christmas!I wish you both ,and your family a very merry Christmas ,and a happy healthy new year!! With love from the Uk!Xxx
My HSMarching band played for a bunch of Seattle SuperSonics games. What fun we had. This just took me back. They won the championship in 78. We miss them so much. Also listened to the games on the radio when we didn’t live close enuf to see them on the. tag. That was family night for sure! Thanks for transporting me back to good times!!!! You guys are so fun to watch!
Well done! I commend your switching focus toward charities... no negative judgement on your receiving gifts for you and your family - that's beautiful too... but spreading the love, and spreading the blessings, seems true to your values. Well done. Beautiful stuff. Very important notes regarding your Aussie foods Vegemite!! Go lite on the mite!!! - Vegemite, most ppl agree, is best enjoyed on buttered toast - first time you try it, seriously, just apply the smallest amount spread very lightly over the toast - basically there should be more butter than vegemite on it. Also note that a Tim Tam slam, is where you take a Tim Tam biscuit, bite the ends off, and (very quickly) dip one end in your coffee, suck until you feel the coffee go through the Tim Tam, and quickly shove the whole thing in your mouth before it disintegrates. Great stuff. Enjoy and I'm gonna add a few of the best Australian songs I want reactions to, just in case: Hunters & Collectors - 'Throw Your Arms Around Me' The Church - 'Under the Milky Way' Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds - 'Into My Arms' Midnight Oil - 'Beds are Burning'
Agree about the Vegemite. Don't go trying a bit on a teaspoon unless you've been eating it all your life. Hot buttered toast & a smidgen of Vegemite. Great Aussie ideas for reactions too. But also John Farnham, Jimmy Barnes, Cold Chisel, Diesel, Stevie Wright, Daddy Cool, Little River Band, Neil Finn & Crowded House, The Angels, Rose Tattoo, Paul Kelly, Guy Sebastian. So much the sounds of my early years. We had awesome music & the best pub rock anywhere in the world. 🇦🇺
Thin Lizzy's The boys are back in Town or whiskey in the jar. Fun fact: The band's name came from a robot character in The Dandy called Tin Lizzie, (a comic strip popular in Great Britain) which they adjusted to Thin Lizzy as a playful reference to the local Dublin accent, in which "thin" would be pronounced as tin
Anne Murray's singing voice reminds me of my mother's singing voice. Mom was a local folk singer in Detroit before I was born. She sang with Joni Mitchell when she lived in Detroit before her divorce. Joni's ex-husband sang at my parents wedding.
Traditionally a Vegemite sandwich is made with a slice of bread or toast, a dab and I do mean dab of the Vegemite spread, and butter. Eaten open faced. Some folks put other things on it like cheese. But as long as you have bread, butter, and Vegemite spread then Bob's your uncle and all is well down under.
I can not like this enough! As a former food pantry/crisis program manager, I can tell you that the need is there every day, and your kindness will make such a huge difference ♥ ♥
Some suggestions for great Aussie music. You've done Men at Work, John Farnham, Olivia Newton-John, and INXS (and, of course, Bee Gees), but here are some other great ones. Little River Band ("Reminiscing", "Lady", "The Other Guy"); Icehouse ("No Promises", "Electric Blue", "Crazy"); Midnight Oil ("Beds are Burning", "Power and the Passion", "Truganini"); Hoodoo Gurus ("Come Anytime", "Miss Freelove '69", "What's My Scene"); The Church ("Under the Milky Way", "Metropolis", "Reptile"); Air Supply ("All Out of Love", "The One That You Love", "Even the Nights are Better"); and Crowded House ("Don't Dream It's Over", "Weather With You", "Not the Girl You Think You Are"). Every single one of these bands are in the ARIA, the Australian Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Glad you finally got into the box of gear I sent! I think Amber may have dropped the little note I put on top in the box with my email - I'd be happy to give you a personalized walkthrough if you manage to find it, or hit me up here to get in touch.
I think you reactors have one of the most generous generations to react with. May all the gifts remind you there's still love in the world to spread and share.
That Chaka Khan CD is Chaka singing jazz standards with some of the best HORN players in jazz, and Chick Corea the outstanding pianist. They practiced for two weeks, then Chaka came in and they laid down the tracks in studio in two days and won a Grammy with it. You all will love it. There is one song from the 30's and these are all big jazz standards.
Dear Donna, I lost my 11 yr old great nephew and my dear Momma within days of each other in early Nov and I'm sending hugs and love to you. The Rob Squad always makes my days better. Y'all are so sweet! 💙
So happy to and hear the Joy that comes from you both with the music and personal life. When I feel down you always remind me how blessed we all are. Today would have been my 22nd wedding anniversary. I lost Shelly a year and three months later by a hit and run driver. Just feeling sad and you've lifted me up again. Merry Christmas and may God continue to bless you as you bless us. 🙏🌲
My gift to you and your beautiful family is a genuine appreciation for your wonderful reactions and the fact that you both have and are discovering a lot of the music of my youth, plus having pretty much the same reactions we did back when we first heard these songs, is priceless. Thank You for that and a very Merry Christmas to you all.
Hey guys you did ...thin Lizzy earlier in the year the song was, the boys are back in town , but definitely try... dancing in the moonlight... really catchy song you both would enjoy alot!!! It has a sax solo too 🎷or try ...jailbreak ..which is a bit more guitar heavy but has a great groove and solo and very catchy chorus , happy holidays guys
Always enjoy seeing the love people send you. I’ve sent a few more, 2 that were received months ago, and one a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully they will be on one of the next parts you air.
For Amber - Some great Thin Lizzy hits are: Wild One, Cowboy Song, The Boys are Back in Town, Warriors, Whiskey in the Jar (later redone by Metallica as well), Dancing in the Moonlight, Don't Believe a Word, Emerald, Roisin Dubh - Black Rose: A Rock Legend and many others. All have that unique Irish rock sound unique to only Thin Lizzy. Along with Deep Purple and Rush, Thin Lizzy was my very first experience with rock ... and led me during my teen years to Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Queen, early Aerosmith, Ted Nugent, Grand Funk Railroad, Alice Cooper and many other great bands of the late 60's and 70's. Hugs and many best wishes for the Holidays and thank you both for always sending out positive vibrations!!
I discovered your channel last week & love it! You've taken me back to several decades w/some tunes I haven't heard in quite awhile. Thank you! Your little girls are beautiful. What a wonderful family. Merry Christmas & God bless you.
I like your new idea of gifts to those in need. I still think you should let the community gift you every now and then too! You give us so much pleasure and smiles in these difficult times. Your family deserves to be spoiled every now and then just to say thanks for all you do! Merry Christmas to you all and may you have a blessed new year as well!
Merry Christmas Guys. Love your work and how you are learning about Music from all generations. There's a great band, The Tokens, with the Lion Sleeps Tonight that you will fall in love with the Falsettos, God bless you both and your l9vely children!
Uh oh; I just sent something to the PO Box a couple days ago. 😳😅 Wishing everyone in the Rob Squad Reactions family a very safe, happy and joyous holiday season! (The charity idea, by the way? Absolutely inspired; and inspiring.)
Your viewers certainly paid attention to gage their knowledge of what you like. The inclusion of the purses specifically for your daughters is thoughtful and perfect. The custom cowbell is priceless. Rogers & Hammerstein movies are priceless! You'll love these musicals. The basketball jersey and Thin Lizzy specifically for you was great. That CD list took time and effort! The Jordan NC and the accompanying other items prove that sender knows you both well. The Christmas ornaments from more than 1 member also proving they know you! The shades with the Bengals colors, and including Luca and the Hippie tshirt for you is perfect and the game for the girls! The Lisa Frank coloring book I think is perfect for your daughter and you! The paper dolls book is likely a remake from the time it was originally issue (or it looks that way.) The "How to Brew" book from the author is pretty darn special; I think basic home brewing is achievable; more subtle flavors may require more complex knowledge. The RSR box for the family and plaque are thoughtful and beautiful. The dolls (Arizona suns) is also great and the inclusion of Ronald McDonald could only be for the girls - again thoughtful. All of the mascots definitely are thoughtful. Jose was thoughtful and right on for the girls! The Chicago artwork is spot on too. And more Funco (sp?) dolls including Forest Gump for the runner in the family! You'll love the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band! The Woodstock CD will be fantastic and right up your alley! The vinyl coasters are right on and the vinyl book ends are even better! The wooden magnet dolls are a thoughtful, and nostalgic gift from the sender. These were all so thoughtful, and if I missed one it was not intentional. Side note: Vanessa Williams was also the first African American to win the title of Miss America 1984 (awarded in 1983.) Sadly, she resigned the title due to the scandal of Penthouse Magazine announcing they were going to publish nude photos of her. Cheap shot since they had to know this would have consequences for her. P.S. On the books, look inside the first page or back of the front cover, there might be an inscription too. P. P. S. I know you didn't ask, but a long narrow shelf would be a great way to display what I'm calling dolls (for the RSR Reacts background.)
You guys are amazing! Like family! My sweetheart was having a moment of insecurity today so I played her Randy Travis - Forever Amen. Really good country song and the message is pure and sweet. I know you'd love it.
Merry christmas to you all🎅 found your channel yesterday and love it, favourite reactions so far are sir Tom jones which he is a national treasure from where im from in wales uk 🏴and System of a down 🤟 what lovely human beings you are, gifts rightly deserved, all my love X
You two should look up next time Hippie Festival is around you. Total experience of hippies. The music, the craft shops, and people will come dressed like hippie's. It's awesome it takes me back when I was young.
Love watching your videos weather they are for your family channel reactions or unboxing. There is a saying the good you put out in the world has a way of coming back too you and this is proof you are loved by all of us.
Vegemite is a yeast extract the smell hits you hard but the taste is great. Mostly sodium 🧂, eat it in the morning with toast and butter then only put a very thin layer then eat good
Merry Christmas!!! Wishing you and the family a blessed Holiday. It’s a pity you didn’t move to Phx. But the housing market here is insane, so it’s understandable. Maricopa county is the fastest growing county in the US. And with the devastating storms in mid-west and fires in California, we are going to continue to grow. But if you ever do move out here, you will love it! By the way, have you listened to Social Distortion yet? They are a rock band, mix between rockabilly and punk. Story of My Life, or Ball and Chain, or Bad Luck are all rocking songs. They also do an great cover of Johnny Cash’s ring of Fire.
The most famous Australian singing group is The Seekers from the 1960's. They just recently retired as a group. Their biggest hit in the 60's was Georgy Girl. Such an iconic song and group! I'm American, but loved growing up with their music.
The Vegemite you spread a little bit on toast or normal bread with butter first then little bit of Vegemite on top u can also have Vegemite and cheese sandwich is a fav of mine. The Milo is either mixed with hot water milk and scoop of Milo or just in plain cold milk and scoop Milo can have it hot or cold. Look forward to the video of you trying it (Vegemite I love but I'm Australian it's def an acquired taste that's for sure lol) enjoy
Hey Jay, those are effect foot switches and a multi power supply that he sent you. You hook it in-line plugging one end to the input jack on the amp and the other end to the guitar output.
ooooooh, Brain Salad Surgery is a good album. (I lean more into Trilogy, but they're both excellent. Trilogy just has fewer interconnected parts.) When introducing the girls to Shirley Temple, don't forget the fact that after she gave up acting she went on to a badass diplomatic career.
those .things you unboxed at the 21:00 minute mark were called guitar pedals and yes, they do give your guitar different sounds, but you should probably inve3st in a guitar amp first. then get a pedal board and a power supply other was the cables can get crazy.
In the UK its marmite and I love it - please DO NOT eat it on a spoon - put a very small amount on some buttered toast or in a sandwich with cheese - nice with toasted cheese sandwiches xxx
👍👍😊 Jay you have to brew some homebrew is the best tasting there is. Don't let the book make it look hard! It's simple to do. And so so good! I have brewed Manny batches, my mom used to hate beer but not my brew! She said that's not beer. 😋😋😋😂😂😂 Marry Christmas!!! Not Happy holidays !!!! 🤬✌️
I have a new group for you guys to react to and that is Shalamar and here are a few songs of their's: Dancing in the Sheets, A Night to Remember and For the Lover in You. Hope you guys love them.
Vegemite is a thick, dark brown Australian food spread made from leftover brewers' yeast extract with various vegetable and spice additives. In a interview Colin Hay lead singer of the Australian band Men at Work said Vegemite gives him heartburn.
