I absolutely loved this episode. BRAVO! I received my endowment after I graduated from college. This was during an era where women only did so if they were getting married or going on a mission.....but the times were changing....I was 22 at the time, but soon after I recieved my temple blessings, they changed the age to 25....and now it is 18 (guidance has changed a ton in my lifetime). I felt blessed that I could attend the temple as a single professional woman. The strength the temple gives me as I walk the covenant path is indescrible. I have found the temple to be a house of peace and solace, a house of learning, and a house of personal revelation. I have a certain chair i like to use while in the celestial room. In that chair I have prayed, I have read scriptures and received new insights, and I have cried as I struggled with the spirit, trying to align my will with the Lord's...and cried as I sought answers and direction. And, Agency is our suoerpower! Our agency empowers us to make righteous choices. With righteous choices we rivet ourselves to Christ and HIS enabling and enobling power. It is that power that helps us work through and triumph over our trials.
Well done! The faith you all express and desire to live a covenant relationship with Jesus Christ is evident. The only “correction” I would have it that we don’t “take out our endowment or covenants.” We recieve the endowment and make covenants. But that is just semantics. Well done! ❤
That is a great point about take out versus recieve. Another friend pointed it out to us. I was raised with that language, and until it was pointed out, didn't realize it. I love the correction. It is a gift that we receive.
Jen's friend Susannah, here (And your new friend as well 😊) I. love. this. and I love the strength of your testimonies. I love learning from you! Have I said the word "love" enough yet 😊? 😂 I hope to get to know you all better! Thank you for sharing your insights!
