@PhantomFilmAustralia No in that case Tyson is just trying to give context by comparing things to something people can understand . People do the same when the compare something to football fields or the weight of X amount of cars or as tall as X amount of Empire state buildings. It's pretty a common way to help people conceptualize a size. In this case it's a failure to use the most appropriate unit of measurement. And in te case of the video they use the most appropriate unit but but use a smaller unit when they are already using the lager unit. Normally when you use a unit you use that unit until you run its maxed out then go to the next smaller one, either ft to inches or ft to a decimal would make sense. But throwing in inches when you still have enough to make another foot is weird. Or using months when you have multiple years is weird. I'll say this, I have heard athletes, especially basketball players say thing like he's 6 ft 14, but that is just a joke to imply he plays like a smaller quicker guy, with speed and skill rather than a lumber giant.

I was about to make this same reply. Glad I checked first! I've twice visited his grave, his family's plot, on Long Island. It's something how there are so many very short frontmen. Men under 5' 7" are fairly uncommon, generally. Maybe there's a Napoleon Complex that gets these guys to want to prove themselves or control perceptions. Lots of very short male actors, too.

Chuck Berry was very tall and had HUGE hands. Shook his hand after one of the 5 times I saw him play live and his fingers were like tentacles.

I've met Chuck. He's about 6'1" - 6'2". I also shook his hand and the other commenter is right: huge hands. He also refused my request for an autograph. 'Naw man, I only sign autographs for chicks.' LOL, true story. And the story is better than the autograph. This list mentions Brad Delp who was more like 5'11" but doesn't mention who by far is the tallest musician I've ever met: Tom Scholz. Despite all of the bad things I've heard about Tom, he couldn't have been nicer. I would say he's about 6'6".

I've seen Stills a few times in concert. It is laughable what he is listed at here.

As I mentioned in another comment, this list is way off. I knew Brad Delp and he was no 5'6" - more like 5'11". I've met Peter Wolf a number of times and he's not 5'11". He is more like 6'1" - 6'2".

We have Robin and Barry Gibb and George Michael on this list, and it is very generous to call this musicians rock singers. We have also Carlos Santana on this list, and calling him a singer is generous as well, since he is a guitarrist in the first place.

Yup! I've seen everyone in Aerosmith, except Tom Hamilton, in person, in Southern New England, and they are all around my height. Joe Perry is maybe 5'6"-5'7", and the other three are around 5'4"-5'5". Great guys, but Tom's the only tall one.
