HTC has unveiled its first standalone inside-out tracked Vive Tracker, a VR accessory that attaches to the user's body or props for enhanced VR tracking. The new device does not require any external beacons, unlike HTC's existing trackers, making it ideal for full-body tracking in VR. HTC says the new tracker, which can be used with other headsets from other vendors, will support PC VR, Vive headsets, and non-VR uses such as object tracking, with a release date set for Q3 2023. The company is yet to announce the device's price or battery life.
