I don’t think footsteps should be a problem in outer space. Certainly footsteps are no problem at all on the International Space Station. Those chairs would look funny in outer space. Not to mention it would be pretty hard to decide exactly when is the “night shift” in outer space.
How poignant. I wish I was born in a time where space travel was commonplace; if there ever will be a time, I hope at least. At least we're born in the time of the internet and star trek.
This may sound nuts, but this audio has been a life saver for me. I have pretty severe tinnitus and I use this to keep the noise in my head at bay. I sleep with this soundtrack on every single night and it works like a charm!
@@andrewcoffey7109 it varies person to person. Mine is like that, a high pitched 'electrical' sound. Never stops so it can be maddening and the background noise from this and other sources helps drown it out so I can sleep.
This really helps me study. Star Trek is the only thing that helps me with my anxiety, depression, and other health issues. It makes me feel like i'm part of another world, where I'm safe and not judged. Thanks for making the video!
Star Trek helps me with anxiety as well, and it is the most soothing thing, it’s helping me handle the loss of my son. I searched this out hoping it existed so I could sleep to this!
This is one of the few things that can get my 8-week old daughter to calm down and go to sleep. It's regular listening in our house! Thank you ender4life for preparing this and sharing it with some exhausted new parents!
as an insomniac and star trek fan, I tried sleeping to this. Could not get over the feeling i was falling asleep at the phone console while Worf paced back and forth behind me replicating a coffee every 45 mins or so and judging every search i put into the ships computer
But there's no replicators on the bridge, at least I don't think so... they have a crew quarters ambient sound video that you could try sleeping to. I personally like to sleep to the engineering ambient sounds video, there's nothing like the gentle throbbing of the warp engine to help me fall asleep. I'm surprised engineers on duty in engineering don't fall asleep, heh.
The "ambience" (no pun intended) of the Enterprise-D bridge (and rest of the ship) was so different from all the other ships / stations in the Trek Universe. While the other bridges all are gray or blue and somewhat dark with a futuristic military feel to it, the D was well-lit and with a bizarre yet comforting 5-star hotel feel to it. And that's one of things that made the show awesome :)
Back when this was on TV get home from school head over to a friends house and watch next generation while playing with star trek models. Anyone have a time machine? i wanna go back this adult stuff sucks.
Really man, thanks for making this. I work in IT, and this often sets the exact mood I need when working. Thank you so much for this. Years now. Keep this saved! Haven't found anything quite as relaxing and focusing as this ambience. I can work to this, eat to this, sleep to this. Star Trek was something else man... I miss it so much. :(
I'm in IT as well, and this sound is playing 24/7 on a surface pro in another cubicle, just loud enough to hear. I hid the speakers, so when management walks through and sees me in my TNG ops uniform on Thursdays, they just Keep On walking.
Love this! I work over night in an office/dispatch center, and the tedium kills me sometimes. This makes it easy to imagine that I am working the night shift on the bridge of a starship. Two things though. Do I hear a transporter in the background from time to time? Site to Site transport to/from the bridge? Second thing, That incoming hail. I wish there was some chatter to go with the ambiance. I know it is on a loop, but an unanswered hail? lol. Worf would never be that inefficient.
@@toneohm215 I didn't care for Insurrection as a movie, it just seemed like a 2 hour episode. Personally I liked Nemesis the most. First Contact was good too but Nemesis is my fave.
@@sauceguy19 Well, no. It's like I'm saying it was bad in itself, but for a movie and not an episodic production I thought it could have been executed with a little more production value and gravitas. Basically, as a 2 hour episode it works, and it works great. But as a movie, a feature film, I found it lacking. My major gripe is about production value of the sets. They look like they belong in a TV episode, not the big screen. Specifically, in the scenes of the village of the planet. It looked as if it was a set, made to look like a town, but it doesn't look _lived in._ The bark and gravel on the roads look too neat, as if it was _just_ laid down but hasn't been used. Same goes for the stone structures and buildings. They look as if the were _just made_ because you don't (at least I don't) see any real wear and tear on the objects that happens naturally over time by nature and people when something has been there for years. The production sets look like production sets to me, not like something that has in fact been lived in. But hey, if people like it then great, I'm happy for them, I am. I like it too, but as a two hour episode, not a movie. And I understand that maybe there were time constraints as mostly happens, I just think that they could've used more time in production design. And also, the plot seemed self contained to that planet. Like no real impact across the galaxy, like most episodes of ST.
Thanks for posting these ambient files of the Enterprise. With my ADHD, this help me focus while I’m sitting at my computer at work. Makes feel like I’m at a science station behind the horseshoe. I Can almost hear Worf breathing as he stands at his station right behind me.
I discovered TNG around age 20. It came on at 1:00am and was the Q Who episode where they first encounter the Borg. I was hooked after that episode and began staying up every night to watch it. Those were the good days.
This is perfect. Back in 2004, I was lucky enough to be able to go through Star Trek: The Experience and the sound effects I heard while standing on the Bridge was just this. For anyone who isn't familiar with it, Star Trek: The Experience was a US$70 million permanent Star Trek-themed attraction at the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. It literally simulated you getting beamed on board the Enterprise D and I got to go from the Transporter Room to a turbolift and onto the Bridge to walk around. There's a great write-up in Wikipedia on the Experience. It's shut down and dismantled now but while it lasted, it was breath-taking; I'm so glad I lived long enough to see it. This video brings back such wonderful memories of it. Thank you.
I went back in 2001. Awesome place. Even got a picture with a Klingon! It was basically the ultimate Trekkie experience of its day. There were rumors years ago that it would be moved from the Hilton to its own space in Vegas. Sadly didn't pan out :/
you know what would be fucking hilarious.. edit it so that after a while when noone expects it, RED ALERT. THE KLINGONS ARE ATTACKING ! people would freak out :D
only If you make it totally creepy. i once freaked out on my pc because i was in voice Chat. a friend joined and i didn't notice at First. then suddenly he plays a Soundfile from a Lord of the Rings movie... in the middle of silence suddenly this voice of sauron... I SEE YOUUUUU.
I bought the soundtrack for Generations and this was on the CD. The problem was that it ended with the ship plummeting to Veridian III, so it made sleeping a little difficult
That's what's missing in more recent Star Trek Series! It's the ambient sounds of starships that give the impression of living creatures with personalities.
This is a lifesaver. I'm doing some training reading at work, and there's a gaggle of coworkers cackling in the cubicle next door. This drowns them out much more effectively than standard engine noise. May the Great Bird bless you and keep you.
*GENERATIONS RED ALERT SOUNDS* (Phasers, Pulse Phasers, Photon and Quantum Torpedoes fired at the USS Melbourne) Worf: "CREWMAN YOU HONOURLESS PETAQ!!! THAT WAS THE ALL WEAPONS FIRE BUTTON!!! STAND AWAY FROM THE TACTICAL STATION!! If you were anyone else, I would rip out your spine where you stand!!!" Picard: "Worf MU'YAB!!! What the devil were you thinking crewman?!?! I didn't order open fire!!! Admiral Picard to Vice Admiral Tuvok, I'm sorry for that last barrage. We had a crewman accidentally fire at you! Tuvok: "Understood Enterprise. I trust you'll show the crewman to the brig?" Picard: "Yes sir! Worf has him in custody now." Tuvok: "I expect your report within the hour. The Enterprise is excused from the Denab System." Picard: "Acknowledged. Commander Crusher, set course back to Deep Space Nine. Maximum Warp. Let Odo know we're dropping off a prisoner to him when we dock." Crusher: "Aye sir. Odo has responded and acknowledged your request. Holding cell 21 is ready for him." Picard: "Thank you Wesley. Mr. Worf, take Crewman Johnson into custody and get him off my bridge now! Take him to the Brig! Worf: "With pleasure sir!" Riker: "I'll join Worf sir! You made the wrong move there crewman Johnson! You're hereby placed under arrest for firing on the 10th Fleet's Flagship!
Someone needs to gather all of Majel Barrett's lines as the voice of the computer and make a voice bank so she can say other things she didn't get to originally record.
My goodness I needed these 8 hour tracks. I suffer from insomnia, severe anxiety and have night terrors, and Star Trek has been a dear friend for many years. Bridge sounds and other ship ambient sounds make me feel relaxed and at home so I can sleep! You are a life saver!
This honestly helps soothe my anxiety when I’m stressed out and doing schoolwork, something about all those little beeps and the hum of the engines is so relaxing
thank you so much for this video. I'm finishing my masters thesis during covid and listening to this in the background lets me indulge in escapist fantasies about being a science officer on the 'enterprise'. really keeps me motivated!
Some people may not like it but the footsteps on the carpeted decks is probably my favorite ambient sound from tng. Don’t get me wrong, i love the automatic door sound and all, but for that comfy calm feeling to really sink in, gotta have the footsteps 👌🏼
I LOVE THIS! I had thought initially that this was a crysknife007 video, but now that I'm examining ender4life's catalog of videos, I can see that this channel has just as much to offer! Subscribed!
Well let me see. When Captain Picard asked you to fire at will, we though you might point your phaser at yourself. But you fired at Wesley instead. Everyone is very relieved, even Dr Chrusher.
Videorium Legendarium is it?? I can’t tell i think I’m I’m either in a swimming pool or a puddle of mud? I sort of remember giving away all my gear to some dude in a bar
An hour went by... work got done... can't beat that. Thanks for the excellent ambient video. Sorry, I'm not a Star Trek fan, so I don't have any appropriate references to add... just enjoyed the track.
When I was having panic attacks and shortness of breath, I played this, and I fell asleep, it was like being in the Doctors office on TNG, very relaxing, thank you for posting this one. If only I'd of thought of this earlier in the night instead of 3am (the thoughts of the bleeps and bloops sounds made it sound like they were working on my breathing, panic attacks)
This is amazing! Workng from home and getting burned-out on all my regular playlists, this is a welcome respite! As others have said, it's calming and it makes me feel safe and low-key nostalgic.
All right night crew. Things seem to be in order this evening. I suggest we make a small heading adjustment of 2.7 degrees at 2300 hours. This will bring us JUST within transporter range of a Chipotle. As well as some other small fast food locations. Thoughts?
I always thought it was so unfair that the person at tactical had to stand whilst the helm, first officer and captain got to sit in those comfy chairs!
I mean, it looks like tactical does have a chair, they just never use it. Being that kind of person myself, I can say it's more comfortable to stand while working in that position 👍
Stardate Aug 6, 2020: "1:31 am and I've got the con captain. Sleep well, sir!" Ah how relaxing. A nice sub-warp cruise to a new class M sensors picked up earlier today. Just me and Data on the bridge. Think I'll just close my eyes for just a couple of . .
This is great. I leave it on all day now. So peaceful and comforting, like a warm blanket. Especially on good speakers so you get that low level warp core pulse in the background.
this is so good for background noise in online school, and for some reason it's amazing paired with a fireplace noises vid. tysm for making, I really enjoy it.
