@@GeekGamingScenics nah, looks great to me mate. The new set up and lighting is looking very slick. Looking forward to the new weathering videos. Especially because I'm about to start making a load of underhive stuff for Necromunda that'll need to be weathered within an inch of it's life!
Reference the washes, the same effect could be attained by airbrushing the same mixture across the board and not have half the mess afterwards. It's what I did using my cheap Chinese airbrush , though the compressor gave out after 20 minutes or so - see buy cheap and what is the result half hearted effects! Cheers Luke..
So.... despite my ork addiction i had a decent pile of money saved in a big jar... thanks to you showing these houses that pile got a hell of a lot smaller!
I have around ten of their houses and they're a bit on the high side for price but I haven't found anything better. Inside and out their amazingly detailed. To give you level of the detail, the roof shakes have nail heads scultped in them, not just a divot to show where the nail is supposed to go like most do.
Luke, when you say flow aid is that the same thing as rinse aid you can get out of Lidl in the clear blue bottle? Cause I've got a big bottle of that still sitting about, waiting to be used for something. Cheers.
Great paint job Luke. With the video the short bursts of music during the video between you talking is quite jarring and, IMHO, distracts from what your saying and showing. You could you either reduce the volume of the music as a possible solution. Though having no bursts of music would work too.
I would love to have a go at some of these buildings but the postage and tax on them from the USA bangs the price up so high it's not really worth it for me. Great vid Luke but I found the music a bit too high and distracting ( I have sensory issues, imagine your worst hangover every day? that's my life) I tried turning it down but had problems hearing what you were saying.
I think I own every single TableTop World building, except the Gatehouse and Castle Walls/Towers. They are absolutly fantastic models. If you really want one or two, I would recommend you wait for their Christmas specials to buy in. Cheers!
Can we dispense with the music on these videos? When I'm watching this with my earphones on I can hardly hear you talking so I have to turn the volume up and then when the music comes on it blasts my ears. Makes it really hard to watch the video. I imagine you have to spend the money on the rights with music so why not just get rid of it and save yourself some cash and help my ears in the process :-)
@@GeekGamingScenics I get this on some videos but not others so it may be my headphones but it's probably also something to do with the videos. I understand that music is probably boosting viewership but personally I can't stand the music that people play, I want people to get to the point and teach me something not play me some dumb music while I wait for them to get started. But that's just me maybe.
This is a great video. You do have a habit of promising more detail on various parts in future videos and then those videos never happen, which is a little disappointing because your videos are so helpful and I'm usually quite interested to learn or see more on those teased topics. Please consider going back and revisiting some of those missed videos one day
You are great at painting, fare better then me! :-) But I still think the house is missing something extra. First, this is the first video of yours I have ever seen so please bare with my question. Have you ever tried to add imperfections like "stones" halfway out of the wall, weed in the roof or bottom of the house, cracks in a window or something like that? Even adding a few broken matchsticks can do a lot as weathered wood:-)
Sadly like he said in the video painting this kind of stuff is trial and error your learn from your mistakes but the results you get when you experiment with colors and washes are amazing. Something I learned the hard way is that you should always dry brush jingles up and down because when you do it sideways your ruin the depth and it looks weird. I had to go in and fix it with a heavy wash. But the roof ended up amazing.
Hi, does anyone know what colours was used for the base coats? the first video has gone and id love to use them on a build that im currently working on? Thanks
so wher eis this 1st video to check out? casue i dunno how much longer i can search for it. or where to search for it. cause it's not in the top right hand corner :p
Awesome work mate. Those buildings look amazing! Id be keen to see a comparison of your one and this one with a rough time difference. That grave look on your face as you said "I'm going to go to town on that one." 😂😂
Yes , Table ready for wargame , Yes , want to see you paint the other one , Yes , be careful ,easy to get carried away doing wargame scenery , too much detail , And Yes chuffing nice buildings , Thanks again Luke .
Has the first video been taken down? I ask as at 3:37 it states there’s a link to the first video, I don’t see the link nor can I find it by going through the video listings on the channel. Love love love the roof colours, desperately wanna copy the whole thing from start to finish as I have the same model. Can someone please help?
@@GeekGamingScenics Awesome! Got everything I need to get started now. Haven’t used ur tree foliage yet, picked it up through ur US Distributor, this ought to be fun! Appreciate ur channel, your videos, and your product. Got all the boys at our local club using ur base ready products now. Props from Calgary!
I've tried that vid too, it just shows how to do the base and the tree, not the base coating for the building? Wierd? Maybe there wasn't a vid for that stage?
@@footysurfrat ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-M2eTxGshYlE.html That one! Its shorter described as in the current video, but the steps are really simple :) But I also struggled to find it. ^^
Oh, I really think one should go mental on painting Tabletop World terrain/houses, they are most likely the best you can buy. I suggest you try to remove one window and put in a window you make, with a flickering LED light behind. And or a light inside the large opening/gateway on the corner...but then you'd have to paint the inside and I do not remember if there is texture, bricks in that hole?
@@GeekGamingScenics Nice man! They told me they were going to send some a couple months ago. Still haven't gotten anything so who knows haha. Enjoy yours! And this this one's so good I couldn't tell the beginning shots weren't complete and it just was going to take another vid to get there. Looking forward to seeing it with those windows all done up!
@@GeekGamingScenics I did send a follow up email a month or so ago to which they did reply and said they were just busy, so fingers crossed they don't forget about me. :P Maybe I should send another. These buildings are incredible pieces of work alright. And hey man, means a lot to hear it means a lot lol. :)
Excellent stuff, really good videos although I prefer Lady Grey tea. You've nearly knocked me out of my lethargy and back into painting and terrain building and I will be using your shop. Keep up the good work.
@@GeekGamingScenics At ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-j0ySgPjmshc.html you mention the "first video". I assume its a base coating video of the building but I can't seem to find it.
Absolutely spectacular! I’m so glad you came up in my feed, I just subscribed and I can’t wait to see more of your videos. Thanks for posting such a useful and visually stunning piece!
I've adored table top world buildings for ages, they just look soooo good. If you're gonna go to town on the one you're doing a diorama with I assume you'll be doing it to use as a set piece in D&D and usable in skirmish games too? -Gofur
If that was my commission you was painting I’d of been happy with it about half way through this vid. Can’t imagine how good its going to be when it’s based and finished. Would like to see your work on the building they sent you as a freebie, but I know it can be a pain to film when all you want to do is get on and paint. Can I ask are you working on the interior of this building ? Amazing work as always.
Lukes Aps. Nice one mate. Thought you was going to unveil it at the end and blow my mind. I can’t imagine what a nightmare it would be to paint the interior, with all the awkward angles. Cheers 👍🏻
