Huge fan of you man, you inspired me to do the hobby! I have a 1 1/2 Yr old Red tail shark 16 Tiger barbs(6 glow barbs purple, red, and electric green, 10 regular) And 4 yo-yo loaches In a 55 gallon tank. Water is crystal clear thanks to your awesome knowledge and videos. Wave makers are life savers and Seachem prime is the BEST. Thanks for all your videos!

the way that i like to clean sand is splitting the bag into like 3-4 buckets only filling half the bucket with sand and having a nozzle on the hose with the "jet" mode, i cleaned 50lbs of sand in like 30min tops you also save a ton of water that way and time

Hey Guys. New here and have been reading “Crystal Clear Tank Water”. I feel I’ve been learning since I haven’t found a drop of cloudy water in a 10 tank apartment. Only bone I’ve got to pick here is that while reading. I’ve yet to get a single “Let’s Go”.

I haven't had a bacterial bloom since I quit over cleaning my aquarium 👍. Never do a water change the same week as a filter cleaning. Also don't clean all your filters on the same day 👍. Also only gravel vac half the tank during a water change and do the other side during the next water change. "BALANCE"! That's how it's done 👍

Hallo Kev. Was present with your livestream. Have a request. Not seen this in any of your videos yet that's why I ask. Just seen a short video of your type of fish where the person used a slow motion facility. You really behold the beauty and grace of the fish. You have some really beautiful fish which is hard to see even when you hold them close to the camera plus the fact they are quick to the eye. So, my obvious question is - Could you use this slow motion facility with your fish from time to time to behold the grace and beauty of them perhaps in your livestream or when you add a new one? Excuse me if you have already and I haven't come across it yet!

So Awesome, you responded. Ok, so, did partial water change last Thursday after the bloom had been there for about a week. Was going to do another one this Thursday (in 2 days). Should I not do that? I started adding the beneficial stability stuff on this past Friday (2 caps full) and di another 1 cap yesterday. Should I add more Prime and bacteria daily, and not do the water change? I do have fish in my tank, I don't want them to die. I also joined your channel, I think it will definitely benefit me along this new journey.

Yes you will still read ammonia on the test kit while dosing Prime even though it’s detoxified.

If they're new, it could be fine. Give them more time to settle in before changing their food. About a week or so. Then try switching to a different texture, like flakes or pellets, last thing to try is some live blackworms or blood worms. If he still doesn't eat that you may have an internal parasite issue. No it wont. What you want to use is the dirty media inside the old filter. Or use the entire old filter itself. Bacteria dont live in the water column, even if the waters dirty. They live on the surfaces of your media inside your filter and in the tank. I highly suggest you check out my playlist for beginners.
