As I am get older, I find this song to have simple truths. Funny, the only bar fights I know about personally, are the two that I was in. Neither were started by me, but involved backing up each of my brothers, on different occasions. Thankfully, they were over pretty quickly. I'm getting too old for these diveouts. So I can easily relate to this song. Lol. Peace y'all!

I got in one just about every week when I was in college. My roommate was really funny once you got to know him but his humor didn't work in bars and he always got in fights and I had to help fight our way out of there.

Another fun one is 'I love this Bar', 'How do you like me now' & Beer for my Horses' with Willie Nelson. He also has a couple amazing serious, patriotic songs. "American Soldier' & 'Courtesy of the red, white & blue' which he did after 9/11. They will make you cry with pride to be an American. He even manages to make the videos for his more serious songs 'funny', as well, like 'It's a little too late' & 'You shouldn't kiss me like this'. He has a ton of great music & hilarious videos. He has no problem making fun of himself.

Toby is always a great go-to in storytelling! Brad Paisley's "I'm Gonna Miss Her" is another funny take on telling a story. That video still makes me laugh! Having his wife in the video makes it that much better. I love a couple with a great sense of humor! I was actually listening to country music this morning thinking Brad & Lex really should react to more country, so this is great! It has the lyrics Brad will appreciate, and many have the melody that Lex loves! 🤠

Love Toby and sending him prayers at this time. He was diagnosed last fall with stomach cancer and has undergone therapy, chemo and other treatments. He's cancelled all his concerts for this year 2022. Praying he'll come back healthy and stronger to make us laugh, cry and feel great listening to his sometimes funny and sometimes sad and sometimes patriotic songs. Great reaction.

I don't like everything that Toby is about, but I love that his music is his and he doesn't play to the country music checklist. You guys ending up at a barfight is hilarious. When I was younger, I was a bus boy at a bar/restaurant and had to break up a fight. One of the guys tried to go home and change shirts and sneak back in, and the other went to the hotel next door and started screaming while I was outside tearing down boxes, and I ended up going off on him myself.

i grew up on toby keith, i feel like he’s known for two things, comedy songs like this, and patriotic songs (post 9/11). but he is a great story teller in his songs, who’s that man, wish i didn’t know now are two great ones, and slower more ballad-y type songs like does that blue moon ever shine on you and you shouldn’t kiss me like this etc are great too.

I was 24 when this song came out and I laughed at it because I was one of those "live fast, die young, leave a beautiful corps" types, now I'm 41 and I'm laughing because of how relatable it is. I still feel 25 inside and I fully believe that if I really wanted to I can get back to my Prime but the amount of work I'd have to do to get there when I already wake up from a nap sore if I was facing the wrong way... I Ain't as good as I once was.

For me, "I'm Gonna Miss Her" is first, then "Celebrity". Probably because I have a lot of cousins who fish, and I think they probably think that way! LOL However, I think anything by Brad Paisley is worthy of being introduced to the younger generation! Another excellent one would be "Whiskey Lullaby" with the disclaimer Lex might actually cry.
