Her voice is powerful and at the same time is cute. Her vibratto is decent. The way she enphatizes and put emotion into her voice can outshine any u's member. She is the best at it. Other Maki stans can have different opinions, but that's why i like her voice.

Yeah most of them sound nasally so to use that as an argument is kinda weird, itd be like ranking French artists and saying "no this one is "throaty"" like they all are

It’s more of a popularity contest.. top ten are all popular characters with socially accepted voices. People are more willing to forgive “flaws” with popular girls.

this--also interesting to note that kotori had much better technique with vibrato before they made her voice squeakier (compare spicaterrible and blueberry train for example)

Mari is somewhat like yoshiko she can have low voice and high voice. but i dont think anyone in love live can do mari voice. not to mention the aina actually won multiple singing award prior to Aqours at 18 old.

@@rh1nestone3yes Maki's voice was not nasally. I think it depends on the song genre she was singing. For example the Maki version of Aisheteru Banzai wasn't even nasally at all.

Brings back so much nostalgia, can’t rank it any lower START:DASH!!(Prepro) - 9/10, it sounds like Pile is kinda straining a bit?? Idk how to word it but it doesn’t sound like it naturally comes to Pile Daring!! - 8/10, I don’t hate it, but again, it isn’t my style but I do like hearing it on ALL STARS daily’s Mogyutto “Love” de Sekkin Chuu! - 10/10; Her non-nasally voice shines here, it doesn’t necessarily sound strained but like it comes to Pile. Sounds a bit vibrato lol Aishiteru Banzai! - 1/10 NOPE NOPE NOPE I hate that they made it more upbeat. The piano did her so much more justice by being so calm but this?? NO! It sounds so strained, poor Pile! soldier game - 7/10, Not my genre so bumping it down. I do really love Maki’s(since I’m listening to her mix) and Umi’s voices here. They did good Wonderful Rush - 8/10; Meh I do really like her rapping part. The calmer bits without the shouting do her voice really good Oh, Love & Peace - 9/10 Wow listening to an old song through a mix lol- Anyway Maki’s voice here shines because of the calmer tones to the song, would def listen to her’s and Rin’s mixes for it more often Bokura wa Ima no Naka de - 10/10, again, too much nostalgia to bump it down though Maki does sound kinda like Nico so idk how to feel about that WILD STARS - 6/10; Sounds strained at the beginning, like before the “Hajimaritai WILD STARS”, but after that she sounds good due to the calming song anyway. I wouldn't listen to it normally. Kitto Seishun ga Kikoeru - 10/10, the calmer tones def showed Maki’s good voice. The higher pitched songs seem like its hard to register with Maki’s voice so its nice getting a calm song paired with a calmer Maki voice. Kaguya no Shiro de Odoritai - Oh god I love this song so much. 10/10. I love the vibrato in Maki’s voice SO MUCH. UGH. Too good Pile! Korekara no Someday - 9/10, wouldn’t listen to it normally but Maki’s voice shines here even during the “Someday itsu no hi ga” parts Wonder zone - 6/10, always thought of this song for Kotori mainly so it feels weird hearing Maki sing it. I don’t like it too much but her voice is half and half pleasing to the ear. No brand girls - 9/10 due to nostalgia again, but other than the ‘oh yeah’s she sounds wonderful START:DASH!! - 7/10, during the “Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey START:DASH!!” she sounds strained but other than that its fine. Also her amazing “Tsuyoi tsubasa deeeee tobu” sends me. Music S.T.A.R.T!! - Obvi 10/10. Its Maki’s song fr. No other comment. LOVELESS WORLD - 8/10, always thought of this song for Nico but maybe a NicoMaki mix wouldn’t be bad. She doesn’t sound so strained? Idk Takaramonozu - 9/10 I love the song, but I don’t know how I feel about Maki singing it since I see it fitting Honoka, Rin, and Nico more? I don’t even know lol but I don’t really think I’ll listen to her mix again Paradise Live - 10/10. Her “Three! Two! One! Live!” SENT ME. Her voice is nicely pitched to where it doesn’t sound strained but it sounds cute! I would listen again Sore wa Bokutachi no Kiseki - 10/10, obvi its good. It’s S2’s OP! Nostalgia factor. Maki doesn’t sound too bad here. Datte Datte aa Mujou(? I’m looking at the JP version of the title ok-) - 7/10, her voice is calmer here. I like it but wouldn’t normally listen. Donna Toki mo Zutto - Everyone sounds good in their mix of this song. 10/10. COLORFUL VOICE - 5/10. I like her voice but hate the song. Yume no Tobira - 4/10; wouldn’t normally listen to like at all. SENTIMENTAL StepS - 5/10, sounds like a nursery rhyme. Its calm so I don’t care for it. It isnt too bad but gives me Kanata vibes. Love wing bell - 2/10. Always saw it as a RinPana wedding song lol. Hate Maki with it. Dancing stars on me! - 4/10. I’ve never liked this song in general, Maki doesn’t do too bad. KiRa-KiRa Sensation! - 2/10. Always skipped it in the Anime. I hate this song so much idk why but the thing giving it a 2 is Maki’s cutesy voice. I have to def admit that I do give her less credit than is due to her, but she's never been my fav μ's girl and I would rather listen to a calmer voice like Rin. Though I am a Nijigaku fan
