Yeah that's one of the reasons why breath of the wild (and also tears of the kingdom) are a biiit hard for me. I do like TotK more for various reasons but in both games they got really fancy with the technology stuff (although you could joke about in TotK that the greatest invention of an ancient highly technology and super intelligent folk was super glue xD) Like you said - stuff powered by magic in a fantasy game - nice. If it suits the theme and overall mood. AI stuff... not so good. ^^' I think why I have such a problem with the gorons going more and more engineer-y even if they use profane technology stuff is that they seem really crude to me (which is not bad) and I can simply imagine them for myself more with clay- and fire-based work.
