I love stumbling on people who hears One Ok Rock for the first time. There's honestly not one person that has disliked them. Thank you for enjoying their music. Please look into more. They really don't have a bad album or song.
I apologize for the letter. This band has been around for 19 years. They are a little bit of everything in the rock picture. Eno punk heavy pop ballads and everything in between. It is composed of 4 members that are super musicly talented. They write their own song. They are strog in the motivational lyrics. They have collaborated with sleeping with sirens, 5sos, teddy swims, Avril laving, against the current. This song in particular was cowriten with ed sheeran. They were very good friends with linkin Park both mike and chester and the band it self. They were supposed to tour together before Chester untimely passing. They play for 50,000 people to 800 capacity venues with the same love and intensity. They are the most humble and down to earth band i have ever has the honor of seeing live. Im 54. Their members are in their mid-30s. They have 20 LP out the latest being luxury disease. They have performed with a 65 members orchestra and and sang with a choir of 4000 young adults between the ages of 17 to 19. Some of their earlier song are a bit more heavy and emo and they have been criticised for going a bit more pop. I think is amazing that they can evolve and continue exploring new styles. They are much better live but some of their mv are pieces of art. One ok rock formed in 2005 and inspired by Linkin Park & Good Charlotte. They're so versatile, they have pop songs -> hardcore songs (soft to hard songs. rock, emo, alt rock, hardcore, pop punk, pop rock, pop... they have it all)
I'll tell you what these guys were waiting for, a small theater with five hundred fans and a four-camera proshot production😂... what they can't see is that this is only one of two nights in a row at the Tokyo Dome and one of the ten concerts in large domes from their 2023 Japanese tour. The Japanese rock/metal scene is huge. I particularly stopped listening to new American bands in the early 2000s and European bands around 2010... Japanese bands saved my rock universe, literally.😉

Their songs are really diverse. Many of the lyrics are a mixture of English and Japanese. I recommend watching their songs live rather than watching their MV. Many fans will agree. These guys are huge in Asia and are working their way West. They opened for Muse in the US and Europe last year. This song was co-written with Ed Sheeran. Linkin Park is definitely an influence and they were supposed to tour together but unfortunately Chester passed away better they could. Taka, the vocalist, sang "Somewhere I Belong" at Chester's tribute concert, though he had the jitters and it was honestly not his best performance (he said so himself too). Mike Shinoda produced their song "One Way Ticket," and they sang it together at Summer Sonic 2018 in Japan. Taka also sang with Mike at Mike's set at Identity LA a few years back (you can find fan cam recordings on RU-vid). I'm sure someone will recommend that you check out OOR's song "Take What You Want," and I'm just gonna put it out there before anyone tries to mention it that the part at the beginning of the live performance is not a tribute to Chester. That's a false rumor that's been spreading like wildfire across RU-vid. I found One Ok Rock when Taka (the singer) sang in Chester's tribute concert. They're amazing live. I recommend Deeper Deeper live at Yokohama Stadium and Make it out alive live at 1chance festival. Love from Argentina

Formed in in 2005 I believe and debuted in 2007 so definitely been around ages 35-37... Chester was a huge inspiration for Taka(lead vocalist) one ok rock were actually supposed tour with Linkin Park unfortunately it never happened for obvious reasons... Also this song was written by Ed Sheeran
Welcome to one ok rock. All of their music is different and amazing. Taka and Chester were close and going to tour together but Chester passed. Afterwards linkin park invited Taka to sing Chester’s part at one of there concerts for somewhere I belong. It’s on yt. If you’re doing more OOR, I’m in it

@@tazzznphillyin japanese, it's pronounced like "One O'clock" which was their time to practice in their earlier days. For international fans, it's okay to pronounce it "One Okay Rock" just like in english. In all international interviews, they always introduce/promote themselves as "One Okay Rock"
