Definitely going to be outfitting my guitars with the clip lock guitar straps from dimarzio. It was something that I always overlooked and didn't pay much attention to. Well not no more. Plus in my opinion they just feel so much more comfortable and noticed they don't wear out fast and they stayed stitched together and don't fray.
I still have the first one I ever bought, in the 90’s! Still going strong. I didn’t know they were made from seat belt stuff. No wonder that last so long.
Wow, these straps look very interesting even though I'm not playing live at the moment. They seem sturdy and very practical, so I'm definitely gonna try 'em when I'm back in Italy. Gonna order one and see how it goes with one guitar! Very curious about that! Thanks for giving us a no nonsense demo of this product man, I had no idea these one existed until I watched your video! Looks like a great alternative to strap locks! Cheers! 🤘🏻
I have a different kind of licking strap that has a spring loaded ring that slides over the buttons, and locks that way and it's insane how secure it is. I grew up using plain straps so finally getting a locking one blew my mind. The material is nice and comfortable too. I think it was dimarzio but I'm not really sure.
Is it just me or is that strap GORGEOUS! And the perfect match for that guitar. ❤ I love these straps but I’m still not going to swing my guitar around my neck like that guy 🤣 I’m pretty sure my neck would give before the strap would 😄
I switched to these when I got my first 7 string back in 2011, and I’ve hardly looked back (barring my massive 8 string) They’re simple, sturdy, and interchangeable in a pinch - what’s not to love?
Been using them for years and had no idea they made an extra short option. Gotta up my prog status and snag some so I can hit myself in the chin with my guitar. Haha
Thanks man! I agree! Check out this video if you want to see me install them and more! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-n4aepAbT5Ds.html
Ya that looks like a nice system. I originally got schallers for my lp when I got it. that pile of hardware kept falling apart and I got po'd and just got a strap for every guitar. I only have like 10, so it wasn't that big of a deal. BTW, I fixed the neck dive on the lp by putting a giant lag screw in for the neck strap which extends the strap an inch or so off the body. Rigging a strap for my giant acoustic bass guitar was a challenge.
I'm not sure I agree with them being "the best". I do like them, but I don't find them as comfortable as something that has thicker/padded material. Maybe if they made these straps with padded material, I'd give them another shot. Until then, there are other options.
Absolutely agree! Also I know a several guitar techs who told me that dimarzio cliplock is cheap plastic piece of trash, that can be easily broke. Laugh so hard of these people)
Yeah that's rubbish! I have guitars sitting next to me that still have the original clip lock straps on them that I installed over 20 years ago. And they've been around the world, in and out of trucks, clubs, theaters, arenas, and through every environment you can think of, and they're still going strong! 💪 Have I ever had one break on me? Sure. But it was due to something like a clip end getting smashed in-between two road cases during load out. Regardless, for me, their track record keeps me loyal! 🎸
@@RobArnoldWorldyeah man. I’m also have seen that straps with destroyed textile parts from the years of road. But the “cheap plastic” was in great shape and still works great.
Just always practice standing up. I went through that. Now I prefer to stand. You get to jump around as you rock out too....and do cringeworthy poses. Haha, so don't miss out.
hey Rob, love the video. i had a question about the song implements of destruction. ive seen many tabs that have different tunings for the song. ive seen d standard, drop c and b standard. could you clarify for me what tuning you guys use for this song so i can properly learn it and cover it. its one of my favs from the old days and id love to learn it so i can have it in my repetoire. thanks man
Sure man! The acoustic intro was played in E standard, and the rest of the song is in Drop C. No pressure, but if you're interested, I have almost the entire Chimaira catalog tabbed out over in my Patreon community. All tabs are 100% accurate, and are available for download in both .pdf & Guitar Pro formats! Check out the entire list to see all that's available! www.robarnoldworld.com/guitartabs
@@RobArnoldWorld well thats something i did not know about. I really appreciate the answer.and i may be wandering over to patreon. Its hard to trusttabs online these days so its best to start from the source.
Thanks' brother , love how cool you are to your fans . its very refreshing to have a famous guitarist reply alot to my silly questions im sure you always get asked. world class musician my friend. I'm gonna keep asking for a Toronto show as well lmfao. @@RobArnoldWorld
Hey man, I don't totally understand your question, but when asked about straps, I'll always recommend the DiMarzio clip lock straps, and honestly I'm not familiar with any other types of straps because they're all I've used for decades now. But maybe my video on correcting neck dive would be helpful? Maybe give it a look and lemme know! 🎸 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VMDJG3pc5cI.html
@@RobArnoldWorld thanks for getting back to me.. I saw the other video already.. I'll to ask again 😅 as in the strap should be able to hold the guitar at the same position.. as I adjust it.. my strap.. it slides from should every now then.. may be because of guitar weight.. I saw some videos on RU-vid suggesting to use Guitar gummy.. it is not a neck dive.. Will this Dimarzo strap solve this problem?
