Thanks for the detailed review! How does the Speed MP compare to the new Pure Strike 100 (16x20)? (…for an intermediate club player, who likes control but doesn’t like elbow issues 😅)

I think a balance of 315 for the Pro is spot on. The earlier 315g Pros had a balance of 310.

For my taste it was too much to the head. I played well the racket but got tired in 1,5 hour session. Sometimes I play long matches over 2 hours and I couldn't handle the racket. I used the older Speed Pro with the Graphene XT or something like that for 1-2 years about 7 years ago.

@@CzechTennisGuy Yes that's it the Graphene XT, I have it too but unfortunatley my Graphene XT is around 7mm balanced more towards the head which makes it too much to enjoy at length. It's also quite underpowered and hits quite low over the net. Much more enjoyable iis my other 18x20 which i was really really lucky to buy recently here in Malta. The Babolat Pure Control GT 95+. Man, this racket is a true gem, If you come across one buy it. I was scared to buy it because they say it should be only for advanced players bla bla. The sweet spot is huge, buttery feel, sick precision, you can get good shape on the ball if you want to, what more could i want? I had to buy this racket because I knew it is rare and I heared a lot about the much loved Pure Control line.

TW always measure SW with 1.30 strings Anyway I have the 2022 version of both sticks… the mp with 3 gr more and 326 sw has to be a nice battle axe

Ok, thanks for the info. That string can increase the SW little bit. That MP is an axe for sure. But it feels more muted with less free power compared to the 2022 version. In my opinion it's not worth switching.

Surprised you don't take 2-3 measurements of SW. Also, sweat on the grip (coming from the overgrip) could account for an extra 2-3g. 5mm of balance difference is significative, it takes around 5g in the buttcap to balance that out. Finally, how the matt white turns yellow-ish from the clay is quiet dirty...

I always calibrate the machine before every QC test so there is no need to take the numbers twice. What can only happen is a difference of 1 point from what I have observed and that doesn't really matter. It depends on the angle of the racket that is attached to the machine. Point with the sweat is interesting, but with this we are going too far beyond what really matters in my opinion. But good point and maybe another reason why to change overgrip every few ours or even for every match when it is important. Thanks for your comment.
