1.5 x speed improves the viewing experience. Sorry for me too much rambling and off topic sidetracks. Glad to hear however that you're fitness is on the improve.

How does it compare to the Percept 97? You also liked that racquet.

Thanks for your videos. How does the Blade V9 100 compare to the Speed MP 2024? Thanks
@CzechTennisGuy
@CzechTennisGuy 3 месяца назад
I like the new Blade 100 more. I like the paintjob, the fast head speed, great plush impact, big spin and overall easy to use frame. The power level and bigger sweetspot is also very good. The Speed MP 2024 is ok, but nothing that stands out for me. Feels little bit underpowered compared to the Blade.

Thanks for your review. I've played a few of the Blade 18x20 predecessors...v4, v5, v7, v8. The blade v8 18x20 had not the stability of the v7 (probably because of the highter SW), especially on my single backhand. I hope this is noticeably better in the v9.
@CzechTennisGuy
@CzechTennisGuy 3 месяца назад
I liked the V8, too, but the V9 feels more complete. The V8 was in my opinion flexing more, which translated into slower feedback, longer dwell time and lazier shots. The comfort was good, but the racket felt like holding a snake in your hand - it was bending too much in favor of comfort. But the head was moving too much after the hit which lead to heavy feel because you had to correct it little bit. Now the V9 feels more solid and overall stable, more complete = which means also more free power. I like the V9 more.

That is very nice hitting. Very relaxed and easy arm. Wish i could play like that

Thank you. This comes from years and years of training. I started playing tennis when I was about 4-5 years old. That was in 1988-9. Long time ago. But I believe with todays knowledge, free videos on youtube, tutorials etc. you can learn tennis a lot faster. Zdenek on the other side of the court is playing tennis just 6 years and he plays very good. His technique is stiffer, but he can produce some great shots with at high speed. So you can learn tennis in any age.

Good video :) how would you compare blade 18x20 to tfight 305 18x19 ? Cheers!
@CzechTennisGuy
@CzechTennisGuy 3 месяца назад
Thank you. That's a tough question. TFight 305 has crisper feel in my opinion, feels stiffer and has great amount of power and spin. Blade 18x20 has lower spin potential, but plays great with full speed strokes, more direct, flatter shots and has very natural connection to the ball. I think the TFight is good for someone with fast shorter and stiffer arm swing, and the Blade is good for someone with a long relaxed swing.

Let’s see the new 100. I tested the new 16x19 and it was so solid and more controlled that i am not curious to try 18x20. While in previous generation i preferred 18x20 v8

Just finished your review. So you actually found differences between the 2 98s ?
@CzechTennisGuy
@CzechTennisGuy 3 месяца назад
For me the 18x20 gives me more freedom in hard hitting. It's a racket that you have to hit hard every shot to get the performance from it. Maybe I would get tired after some time, who knows. So the 16x19 version is easier to hit with and has big spin potential, too.

Nice video! How do you compare the blade to the Percept 100?
@CzechTennisGuy
@CzechTennisGuy 3 месяца назад
Thank you. I would say the Blades have better pocketing and topspin. Percept has lower power, but maybe better overall control. I would say you don't get as much of the good stuff fro free with Percept, you have to go for it little bit more. So the Blade feels easier to hit with.

@@CzechTennisGuy nice! I just got the percept 100 a few weeks ago based on your reviews and I really enjoyed it. Do you think that if I decided to try something new in the future the blade 98 16/19 would be a good choice? Really enjoy your content by the way. Big thumbs up from Ecuador in South America!
@CzechTennisGuy
@CzechTennisGuy 3 месяца назад
@@sanburbano Thank you. Yes, it's a great racket with very good feel. If you can handle the higher swingweight you will love it. Maybe the 100 version would be just ok for you. But demo it before you buy it if you can. Cheers to Ecuador!

@@CzechTennisGuy Thank you for your kind insights sir. Unfortunately there is no demo program in my country :(. That is why I really appreciate your thorough reviews, which give me enough info to at least make the best possible guess.. keep up the good work!

Which one do you recommend for let's say an intermediate player let's say 98 or 100?
@CzechTennisGuy
@CzechTennisGuy 2 месяца назад
For intermediate player I recommend a 100 in2 headsize. 98 is good for advanced and tournament players, someone who plays for a club, tournaments, leagues etc. But of course it depends what do you want from a tennis racket. If you plan to improve your game, why not to try the 98 in2 version.
@chuckielee2627
@chuckielee2627 2 месяца назад
@@CzechTennisGuy Thanks for the recommendation. I'm just an intermediate recreational player so I'll go with 100inch version. And, what string type and tension would you recommend?

He is playing with a heavily customized Wilson Pro Staff RF97 V11. Strung weight: 384g. Swingweight: 354. I have an extra video about his racket before he added the extra 20g of weight (2x 10g magnets in the throat section): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-W7zb49v8TP0.html

Are there no true pro performance , quality racquets being produced today ? Too many racquets need to add weight and there is always a sacrifice . The problem with raquets today is that no pro uses an off the shelf current racquet , they are all pro stock built into the layup . Also they are older racquets painted to look like current ones. Mass market sales have forced racquets into poorer performance , for primarily comfort . Raquets cost more and their performace is not matching it . At that point it becomes a swindle .

Even if we could get exact replicas of the rackets the pros use, that wouldn’t make us play like them and we might even hurt ourselves playing with them. The pro’s level of fitness and technique is out of this world, I don’t think that you can compare what they need and what we need as as they basically live on a different planet.

@@Batwam0 The professional players does not live on another planet . They have just tuned there bodies to perform a singular task . But , at the end of the day , quality and performance is paramount. Blade Pro is readily available retail from Wilson if you've got the game for it. Same frame Tsitsi and a lot of the other W players use.

That's the way I do it. I say things as they flow in my head naturally. I'm not a mainstream reviewer like some other bigger youtubers who cut videos to perfectly match the audience preferences. I don't have time for it. It's my hobby in my free time. I don't plan to have millions viewers. I rather have a smaller well educated and passionate followers who want to learn something more that goes beyond a standard mainstream review. And of course this is not a final review. The final review always looks little bit different, it's more edited with timestamps, too. Check out some of them on my channel. And if you don't like the content, you can always find some other around. Thanks for the feedback anyway.
