Recently he caused quite a stir by turning up at the Street Outlaws USA vs AUS in Sydney with this VR38 powered Datsun 1200. That's right, an R35 GTR engine in a tiny Datto ute. But that's not the only interesting part of this build...
THIS is how you build a car. Not all show and not all race. a beautiful highperformance car, that is daily driveable. Except in rain ;) I love this build. He had a good eye and great skill.
I remember frank and his first white ute it was a rotor and he also raced a red rx3 for the old zoom magazine back in the day , what a legend this thing is nuts

I can't believe a 20b gave him more drama than getting the vr38 in there! Ultimately imo I think he put the better engine, I say that as a 20b owner. Absolutely a Killer car, and I don't think international viewers understand what a nightmare it is to engineer a car here to the point most avoid it due to the costs involved.. Great car ❤
Im still amazed at how this car looks its a work of art. I have no idea how this is legal and registered but damnnnn. like i couldnt even get a K24 into an AE86 passed.
We have these here in South Africa and we were able to get new ones untill 2008-2009 but the only changes were engine i think 1.2 to 1.4 and we got sport versions and the name and badges switched from datsun to Nissan and the product name switched to Champ so it's called a Nissan Champ here , we also got the MK1 Golf here in South Africa untill 2009

I need to know how he got it road legal with the ECU & no padding on the steering wheel? I have a haltech elite 2500 & Momo wheel but have been told no rego with the haltech & need padding on the momo.
A very thing l like is you didn't change the extrior of it just resprayed it red and you made good use of the bed if the ute and the Datsun 1200 ute is such a good looking ute l do like older Japanese utes infact l own a 1997 Toyota hilux with the aluminum tray on it l am a retired courier and have owned a couple of Japanese utes some good some not so good and my Hilux Is my last ute l will ever own and it us completly standard ss original as l can keep it getting back to your Datsun 1200 ute underneath the bonnet very nice looks purposeful which is hard to do with modern engines also some older cars to and when l saw the nitros oxide tanks l thought it had nos but they make great looking petrol tanks and the turbo in the tray because there was no room under the bonnet and it will naje fir easier sevicing if the turbo l am old enough to remember when these were around they are still around today but when they were new
How do you get "street legal" with a cage and not have club plates? The only thing I have been able to engineer for a cage and street rego was a half cage in a coupe, that then needed to be registered as a 2 seater, my engineer even said no to door bars on a MX5 that had a 4 point rear roll roll cage Info on this would be extremely helpful for people who take there regoed street cars to the strip or track Cheers
Nice car but sorry dude as soon as I saw what was in the back tub turbo/dual tanks that wrecked it for me would have looked nicer without all that in the back not taking anything away from your work nice car
J ai un problème avec ce moteur qui a etait inventer par un nazis le rotatif 1300cc bon bon moteur puissant mais très polluant a ce qu on dit mais de voir une si petit cylindres défoncé des 10L je ne peux que saluer 🙏😑🤲🇫🇷👉😑👆🇨🇭🤝
