I had already purchased an A/V for my son before you did this video. Sealed bearings and the lighter weight were exactly why I did. He's gonna be stoked Christmas morning.
I just bought a Mongoose L100, the price is what got me, going to try to get back into BMX and full chromoly and sealed for $260 made it an affordable way to get back into it with a brand that supports the sport.
Thanks for all your heads up, I just received your Email, I wish I could have been able to buy the bike that you suggested me, However I live in El Salvador Central America and getting a BMX here its super expensive, taking in consideration that earning money here its kinda difficult, But at last I grabbed a Kink Gap 2022 for about 520$ shipping included for middle use. Basic tricks im 30 right now and Im just coming back after 13 14 years...and back then didnt have a proper BMX so your videos due they help me a lot dude you earn a subscriber.
I started riding bmx with a “Stolen stereo” ($250 or so I think back in the day) and I’m 24 now, just bought my first $1,000 plus bike. It’s an amazing feeling and seeing your growth is wonderful. Starting small is the best way to go. Now I’m looking for a good ranged bike for dirt
I remember having a Redline Roam as my first "bmx style" when I was like 12. I was never able to do any tricks but for an around town bike it was good for me, plus that huge sprocket let me haul ass when I got up to speed 😆
Fun fact: My mom used to live just down the street from Dennis McCoy. She would always go out and watch him and his brothers ride on their backyard halfpipe. Pretty neat
@@Dougsterbob Ikr. One day my Mom saw them without shirts on and she thought it was ok (she was 5 or so years old). She was on the way out and my grandma saw her lmao
No way I just did some research and found out he’s from Kcmo where I was born as well could u leak his neighborhood haha I’m curious to see a historical landmark
Can anyone answer the question of a bmx/geared bike? I feel I've seen certain 20" bikes with rear derailleur but still a BMX frame.... Would these make better trail BMX? I understand in terms of doing tricks the extras get in the way but with MTB trails and tricks,I don't see why there isn't more geared BMX or even one with internal gears...
hwo long will the gt air last for im 11 years old weighs 104 and is it good fro tricks excluding bar tricks and peg tricks and when it does wear out wich bike should i buy next that is good one with no brakes for bar tricks
Hey. I was looking at the list of all the bikes and their scores. I made myself a google slides to compare them. And it came down to 2. The Cult Gateway. And the Fly Electron. Which one would you get. Which one is the better pick? I’m a cult fan, cuz I watch Anthony panza. But I don’t know anything about the Fly Electron, but it does seem like a good option.
The Gateway technically has more chromoly in the frame meaning it will last a little bit longer. But I think that fly puts a little better quality into their component choice. (sprocket, pedals, stem, grips) so they both have pros and cons. Honestly just pick the one you like better based on brand and color.
@@Dougsterbob hey what do you think about the Stranger Royale. It’s 30% off on source bmx. Original price is $729. Sale price is $510. I might be able to get another 100 for my budget to get it?
You should make a video of the fastest bmx bikes that runs the most smooth and glides not race bmx bikes tho. i race and like to go really fast on my bmx bikes currently running a cult devotion
Even the 2 bikes here with trimoloy cost less than my daughter's WTP Nova. Her bike does have all sealed bearings and think that is more important for a rider like her than chromoly
