I agree! Snce you will have flooring that makes it fluid n both of those front two rooms now.....just extend your livng area to cover both! Divide it up by placement of furniture. Majority of it livng, and a portion for homeschool/playing /hanging. Then make the room with the fireplace and the big doors a larger dining room. Move the buffet table you had built nto that room get you a larger farmhouse table , I think t could be beautiful! I think when you have new flooring down and things are not divided by carpet, you will see great potential for different options. You could have much larger living spaces by not chopping t up into those little specified rooms. Happy for you!! And for the kids to have their own space! Congrats!!!

Use the Den as a dining room! It would be gorgeous with the fireplace and all!!! The original dining could be a breakfast nook/school area! So exciting!! It’s fun to see it all come together! Congratulations!!! ❤

Congratulations Kelly! May I suggest utilizing one of your living rooms as more of a homeschooling education designated space? I'd imagine it'd be helpful to have a little more room than using just a dining table for all three of your kids to read, write, and do various projects....you can have individual desks and it can be a quiet reading room separate from the rest of the house. This way, their respective bedrooms can have all their toys and where they'll play, and the main living room will remain a family space with the TV and couch. Idk...just an idea. Either way, good luck and I look forward to watching all your reno updates! ❤❤❤🦋🦋🦋🤞🤞🤞

Oh my heck it’s so weird seeing this house! I remember you doing different DIY’s like the peel and stick countertops which I had to do after watching. I don’t remember this place Kelly, when I started watching your channel, you were doing work in your mother’s place. Your new home is much roomier for you and the kiddies, they must have been so excited to move and have their own rooms. Is your mum still nearby? I’m catching up on your videos as you can tell. In our home, we have a double wide as well and we have a family room and a formal living room. Our formal living room has a fireplace as well! but it that is not the vibe that you are looking for, it could be a play room, but like you said, it would be chaotic to have toys strewn everywhere in a place that is so central to your home! as far as appliances go, I have a love affair with kenmore! I have been buying that brand since I got married 42 years ago! I know that sears is pretty much obsolete anymore, but I looked and you can still buy online! anyway! love that you are back in your old place and lots of energy going your way to make sure that you get what you want done! thanks so much for sharing! xoxo

Stay away from Frigidaire. It was in my new house when I moved in and I had to replace the dishwasher after 3 years. Just cheaply made. I had gotten a Frigidaire refrigerator to match the other appliances and I dislike it. The stove and microwave are okay…but still. I replaced my dishwasher with a KitchenAid and I absolutely love it. I’m excited for you and your kids. 🦋

I would make the 😮fireplace room the dining room. Make current dining room a home school room. I used to have Whirlpool appliances and loved them. When I bought new appliances I bought whatever was on sale (all appliances are not the same brand). I regret doing this and wish I had bought all Whirlpool.

If you are doing the hard wood ask throughout the house..I would make the room with the fireplace the dining room, I'm not sure which walls are load bearing.. but if the little wall between the dining room now and where you want your living room you could possibly take that down and have a bigger living room or close it off and make that your play room or make it your homeschooling room.
