I just saw Peter and Oliver walking through the children's hospital after my appointments and it just made my day!!

This is from the Frey life Facebook page Update: (3:45pm) Surgeon just came out & said the surgery went well. Mary is waking up now.

If everything went as planned then you're in surgery right now. Praying everything goes well and that you have a quick and easy recovery! ((Hugs))💜💜

As a kid I spent plenty of time in the hospital even into my teens. The nicest room I was in was at Phoenix Children's Hospital. We, meaning myself and my parents, had a couch, dresser, armoir for the t.v., bathroom with a walk in tub and all the strawberry scented bubble bath a little girl could want. And the couch had a pull out bed for when one of my parents stayed with me. And I also had a small private patio. Yeah that hospital spoils their patients.

I've only been to Northwestern Memorial in Chicago for PT continuing education classes, but yes, it is a beautiful hospital, fancy - escalator in the lobby - and amazing views of the lake and skyline! I hope and pray that you are doing great with a new J-tube Mary!!! I hope your fever stayed away so that this next step of your journey can continue. If not, I know that the medical team and God are in control of your care. If you had your J-tube placed, I pray that you are not in much pain and that things will start improve vastly as your body gets more calories and you start to build up your strength again. I know you are in the best hands medically. You are so blessed that Peter and Ollie are able to be with you 24/7 (or as close to 24/7 as possible). I have a very bad leg and I am inspired by you to try more exercises, I am just scared because my leg is so weak. Now, if I can make a prayer request through the rest of The Frey Life Family, I grew up with both knees being bad. Since 1998, my left knee has been great. I almost lost my right leg from infection on fractures. For about 36hrs now, my left knee has been hurting me so bad that I can barely walk. The pain is excruciating even when I lay down. I am scared that the cartilage issues I grew up with may be reoccurring in my left knee. I can't be down and out with this. It's only me and my Boston Terrier, Rascal Flatt Nose Fix. My husband died almost 3mos ago. I don't have anyone else to help me. I go see my pain doctor tomorrow the 20th. I am hoping for a cortisone shot into my left knee and getting sufficient relief from it that I can avoid the orthopædic surgeon! Please pray for me! I miss my husband driving me to appointments when I feel this way. Unfortunately, nothing I have tried thus far has relieved the pain. At also seems as if when it rains it pours in my life. First, I had to sign to have my husband's mother removed from life support. Then my stepson came into town and treated me horribly. Then my husband died. Then my stepson went psycho threatening to kill people (me included) and to blow up courthouses, so I was under police protection. (He's in federal custody now.) Then today I went to go to my pain doctor and my truck battery was dead. I am blessed that my pain doctor has been understanding, but that will stop eventually. I don't want to lose my pain doctor of 16yrs because of all this. This is becoming more than I can handle on my own. So, if some of you could pray for me, I would be most appreciative! (Sorry if I hijacked the comment section! Please let me know if I should not have put this here and I won't in the future.) Loves, Hugs, and Prayers Mary, Peter, and Ollie!!! I was sectioned into hospital for 7 months with schizophrenia, it was horrible and very distressing, but I'm much better now.

Glad you got such a great room! It helps!! Hoping you are out of sx now...I've been through two PEGs and one was definitely a lot easier than the other. I'm sure it's hard right now, but it definitely will be just a body piercing before you know it. I hated my NJ's and had a lot of the trouble you did, but the PEGs were great. Praying you will be through the hard part really quickly!!!
