A solo mountain wild camp in my Hilleberg Soulo on Ben Lomond. Many thanks for watching - Dave You can also check out my Instagram page for regular posts and updates, here - / the_solo_summiteer
Another beautiful climb, pitch and really beautiful video. Stunning time lapse and drone footage in the morning. I loved the soundtrack too - it worked really well with the footage. Thanks for making and sharing. 🙏
Truly epic. I find it difficult to put into word's just how much I enjoy your work. Many thanks for your dedication and time put in to these videos. Glad Shaun enjoyed it as much as I did.
I'm probably just going to repeat what others have said about this film Dave..just brilliant. From the opening drone shots to the sunrise clips..perfection. You could sit there for hours and look at those ever changing views..no wonder you don't want to pack up and leave half the time. You continue to bring to us views and experiences we can only dream of. Thank you 👍
Dave iam so disappointed. POOR SHAUN @28.15 animal cruelty. Sun blindness poor thing hahababa. Absolutely amazing pal . U never cease to amaz . Thank u so much for ure vids. Keep it up ...
Hi Dave.... That is a fantastic video mate.... I'd never have considered going up Ben Lomond for a summit camp! To busy for a start....got to be one of your top 10 vids.👌
Big thanks Murray. I’d really underestimated what a lovely mountain it is. I’ve driven past many times and looked up at it. Now I’ll have fond memories of a great trip every time I pass by. ATB 😎👍
Stunning. Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to make these, a positive impact helped me escape for a while and inspired me to go up there next summer. *PLUS I was able to go total fanboy when I saw you Friday night in Dumfries gym* 😂
Superb that David!! That end/morning sequence was absolutely spot on. Drone work was amazing and the music choice perfect. Another great video. Loved it. 👌🏼 Take it easy pal. Craig
@@TheSoloSummiteer How about a You Tube short with some of that drone footage with that music. Something with a clickbait title (along the lines of Incredible sunrise over the Scottish highlands. Your channel is ridiculously under subscribed maybe that will get noticed by a few more people.
@proffessorclueless cheers for that👍. I think the simple fact is that far more people prefer the drama type videos of storms, heavy rain, etc. Every other video seems to have that in the title these days (hence the title of my latest video 😜). Or, watching people cooking, drinking or just messing about in tents. For me it’s all about my love for the mountains. They are the stars of the show. The true mountain people understand this but there just isn’t as many of them around I guess 🤷♂️
Never been up Ben Lomond either - always drove past heading for the "proper" mountains. Obviously a huge mistake on my part! Epic scenes from the drone, absolutely beautiful. Cracking video again, Thanks for sharing. ATB, Roger
A stunningly beautiful video Dave. The summit footage is right up there with your best work. Loch Lomond looks so peaceful - something that is badly needed in the world at the moment. Thanks for taking us with you 👍👍👏👏👏👏👏
Really appreciate that Dave🙏🏻. As you understand a lot of thought and effort goes into those drone sequences. If I can take people away from their everyday troubles with the music and visuals, I’m a happy man. Take care and ATB 🙏🏻
Absolutely class! This has to be up there as one of your best videos yet. Really enjoyed watching it. Proper Star Wars vibes from that drone footage man. Nice to see you’re mate Shaun enjoying it too. Haha. 🐑 all the best looking forward to the next one 🎥
Great video Dave 🎥 🤟 A great experience doing a summit camp up there i was a week or so behind you no summit camp just happy to get a view on my 3rd attempt and the views are pretty special the cobbler looks fantastic from up there it’s a great mountain when you pick the right day ⛰️🌞 🏴 👌😉
Awesome mate. Gosh I'm missing those camp views. Back from holiday and raring to go. .. . . And desperate to make the most of winter. Keep it up Dave, you've really had a good year
Gotta get to Scotland for a summit camp soon, only ever been over on the motorbike. Too afraid of getting ruined by midges... another great Video buddy. Love binge watching them in the evening 👍
Another brilliant video Dave. That drone footage has got be some of the best you've done. Good job it wasn't too windy but the drone can handle it. So good to see you really enjoying yourself, again. Regards to Shaun.
@@TheSoloSummiteer As a retiree and vlogger and former keen hill walker I have been using a drone to add to my videos for the last three years and it’s a real game changer. So appreciate all the effort. And the iphone and GoPro11 are brilliant too.
I camped at the lochain a few years, before I thought about filming it. Never actually thought about camping at the summit. Always figured it would be too busy. Similar area but you should try Ben vorlich. That’s always my favourite for views and loads of flat spots. Just a bugger of a path
Brilliant mate, some amazing footage there, I'm actually thinking about camping up there this weekend, it was my first Munro as a 12 year old, haven't been back since..keep up the amazing work dave..take care
Hi Dave, cracking AM views I did Ben Lomond as a solo night hike in winter and I must have passed Atleast 3 trail runners and then met about 7 others on the summit. You did well to get the summit to yourself 😂. Amazing drone footage. I’d love to be able to do cinematography. The only drone footage I have is me on top of a Munro taking a mavic in sport mode to my chest. 😂. Happy hiking 🥾
Congrats Shaun! Ben Lomond was my first munro summit when I got back into hillwalking after over a decade away from Scotland and it couldn't have been more perfect. Beautiful weather, a perfect cloud inversion as a sea of clouds as far as I could see with only the tops of the nearby munros sticking out. I did the reverse route of what you did and the clouds started to vanish as I started down the ptarmigan ridge and got stunning clear views of Loch Lomond all the way to my car. Got me right back into it! In that area I've only summit camped in the arrochar alps but I'd love to wake up to the views from Ben Lomond sometime
I do try to stir the emotions with my drone sequences. It’s a lot more than just flying around aimlessly and I think lovers of the mountains can appreciate this. Many thanks 🙏🏻
Wow, some stunning views you had in the morning there Dave. Cracking drone footage. I hoping to go up Ben Lomond when I do the West Highland Way in April. Great video mate.
Spectacular in the morning Dave , what a camp 😊 Getting even colder now .Good dusting of snow quite low down on Ben Nevis this morning. ( I can see it out of my window , sitting in my living room 😉)
Looked a cracking camp some great drone footage aswell👍.it's been on my to do list for awhile.weve all had those crap weather camps and tbh these days if it's throwing it down I stay home I'm ok with wind and cold but I hate the rain lol
Stunned - as usual 🎉 Fantastic drone footage and beautiful music by Hampus Naeselius(RFM) "I See You" (if I'm right) It's about time you trained Shaun to put the kettle on.😅
Big thanks MLB. You’re right about the music. I thought it was very fitting. So glad you agree. Yeah, Shaun still can’t make a decent brew but he’s getting better at it 😁
One of the best sunrises I have seen with really magnificent colours and inversion, loved the choice of music to accompany it too. Tremendous drone footage..... not a bad one there Dave. Tbh I think one of your best videos, and you've made some bloody great videos
