Hi Dan, I live in a village 5 minutes from Schiehallion, it's my favourite. I appreciate that you showed these walks in autumn/winter time too, most yt channels only seem to show the munros off during summer. they're pretty all year round :)

@DanMunroMan Год назад
Hi Christy! Oh lucky you! You live closer to all the munros than i do😂 and yeah i agree i think they are prettier on a clear day with snow. It is just a bit more unpleasant to do it in the cold😂

Hi Dan, I've recently gotten into climbing Munros through a mate and I've been loving your videos. I'd also like to add a suggestion for anyone just starting out to try Ben Arthur, the cobbler. I did my first solo climb up that 2 days ago and it was brilliant, there's two routes you can take up it as well with varying difficulty. I took the clockwise which is a bit steeper and a bit more of a scramble but the other anti-clockwise route is a more gradual ascent with what are essentially rock steps leading up it. Great views at the top of Loch Long and it's right next to Beinn ìme and Beinn Narnairn if you wanted to try them as well.

Aw brilliant! I still have to do the cobbler and the munro beside it! Looking forward to it! Thanks for sharing!

Great video, having done most Munros (a lot of them several times), it’s good to see a young man on a great adventure across our most beautiful scenic destinations. Keep up the good work! The last time I walked up Ben Chonzie I spoke with a fellow walker who said something I will never forget, she said “I can’t remember what I did two days ago but I can remember every Munro I’ve been up.” It wasn’t until she pointed this out that I realised I, and probably a lot of others, are the exact same.
@DanMunroMan
@DanMunroMan Год назад
Aw brilliant comment thanks Brian! I agree, i think its just because each munro is a hard task, and as soon as the name of a munro you climbed is mentioned, you could probably think of 5+ stories etc. and i feel like you could easily remember the weather on that day also!

the easiest by a mile is Ben More, then Ben Nevis (the tourist route, the CMD approach is on another level completely), Beinn Ghlas and Ben Lawers were also dead easy. And a bunch of Munros in Cairngorms - that was actually very anticlimactic - one climb at the beginning, after that - miles and miles of plateau with tiny spikes in between (did 6 Munros in one day and the only difficulty was scorching Sun :))

I'm just getting back into hiking after a good few years off it. The belly has grown substantially, and my fitness level is embarrassing. But i know walking is the fountain of youth. I've just stumbled across your videos and looking to get into munros. Being in Fife im not far from any of them. I'd happily say your videos are more informative than 80% of the hiking vids on YT. Keep at it bud, those numbers will go up, especially with the hard work you're putting in. Hopefully, I'll see you around one day on a munro.

@@DanMunroMan This route up Driesh is direct but very steep and crumbly, very different from beginner-friendly route of your video. A nice circular route is up Jock's Road (Glen Doll) to the top at Crow Craigies then across to Tolmount and Tom Buidhe, on to Mayar and Driesh. Finish by taking the Kilbo Path back down to Glen Doll Forest.

I'm surprised Mount Keen is on there as although it is a technically easy hike, it is a long walk in. If I hiked it again I would use a mountain bike to get down glen Tanar.
