I live, somewhat literally through your channel. I discovered while handling guinea pigs that I'm extremely allergic to rodent dander, so my own dreams of being a rat or guinea pig parent were crushed. Thank you for giving me the joy of ratties without the risk of being unable to breathe and having hives all over me.
if u are okay with hairless, someone down in new orleans has been getting rid of bunches of skinny pigs (as in hairless, not emaciated) for like, high key suspicious prices. IDK if thatd work for your allergy tho
Not allergic to rodent dander but rats are actually illegal where I live, and if your caught with any without having the permits for very specific uses them their are hefty fines that you get landed with
@zoehess1567 I'd have to research some more but if i can have rats or pigs that won't send me to the ER for allergic shock after interacting with it for 5 minutes it would be a game changer.
I’m used to calling your pets the spawn of Satan (affectionately), but seeing Satan as one of Dust Devil’s nicknames caught me off guard lmao, especially since Cyclone and Dewy’s were so… par for the course yk
Love love LOVE these updates. For the life of me, I thought Derecho was a male and I couldn't understand why you were keeping a male with the females, but...I'm just dumb. Our current mischiefs are 7 boys and 5 girls, and at max we had 21 rats (couple of oopsie litters 3 months apart, during COVID - good luck rehoming during 2020-21...). Cyclone is my lodestar.
Bruh. I feel that literally. I adopted 2 boys and 4 girls in August 2020, got another 3 boys and 4 girls in October (the first ones I had gotten from a friend had an oops litter and were going to sell them as feeders and I said 'f that. gimme'), and my intention was to adopt them out...but then my first girls managed to get out beginning of November (still 2020) and into their brothers' cage and two of them got pregnant and I am SO glad it wasn't all four of them cuz my two girls had 17 and 15 respectively. December was...*busy*. I managed to adopt out most of the babies, and man was that difficult to do because vetting people is a headache under normal circumstances, but I ended up having to keep all the white and red eyed babies [3 girls & 2 boys] and somehow two of the blueish grey boys [their mamas were champagne w/white & light grey w/white and their papas were black w/white & grey w/white...I don't know the proper terms for fur color pattern...also I swear my grey w/white boy and girl were twins and on some Lannister spice because of their nearly exact fur pattern and color ]. My original intention was to keep the one baby girl that turn out black and white hooded because that was so wild to me that out of all of them she was the ONLY one with the "most common" fur pattern and color. She had black spots on her back so I called her Minnie Moo. She was the runt but ended up bigger than all her sisters so she was my Little Unit. All in all, by February 2021 I had at one time...9 boys and 12 girls. So...21 like you had. ^w^' It's a fun time and I'm so happy I got to have most of them for about 2 and a half years. My oldest got to be 3 and a few weeks. I miss them all so much. It's too quiet now. :'3
@@shesmyvampireThis is why she doesn’t have males 😂 to avoid oopsie escapes and the general hardships that come with 2 separate rat packs in your home for the 2 genders.
RATTIE KISSES to the whole new mischief! I am recovering from a chronic illness at home with my folks, so no new CHAOS PO-TAH-TOES for me. Therefore, I am living entirely vicariously through your reports. Please! Keep them coming!!! ❤❤❤❤
It's amazing how much love you can feel for animals you've never actually met before. These videos always bring a smile to my face. Also I recently found out that I actually can have small, caged animals as pets under my lease so my brother and I are seriously researching options for either rats or mice. I'm personally leaning toward two or three rats as I have many fond memories of playing with my aunt's little rehomed rat Snickers when he proved to antisocial for his original mischief.
It's incredible how unique every single rat is. There are huge personalities in these tiny potato-shaped bodies! ❤ Cin and Cape must be so proud of those lovely chaotic girls carrying on their legacy!
I love the amazing mischief! But I wanna know how those last two boys are doing!? I want peace of mind that they’ve found homes. Please let our minds and hearts rest in peace 😭
The pack is super cute.🥰 I’m sorry for the loss of Cape and Cin I However no they will always be in our hearts. ❤️ I pray that Cyclone 🌀 will heal and continue to live happily. happy to wishes to you all ❤
Rat breeder here. Absolutely gorgeous girls! I do hope that you kept another one of the babies, since rats should NEVER grow up without someone their age. It's for that reason I never sell single rats, even when people already have a group. Keep up the great content!
So we've got: The rat embodiment of her name, the rat I'm CONVINCED is Cin's reincarnation, ACTUAL chaos potato by spawning off more chaos babies, and the spawn of satan. Great!
Do you think you could do a day in the life of taking care of your mischief? I've heard that rats, like most small animals, need lots of maintenance, but I would like to hear it from someone who actually has rats.
This actually hit me a little hard even if I have been following you for awhile now. It's a little weird still to not have Cape and Cin around even if I have known they have been gone for awhile. But, I am looking forward to all the fun times with the new girls while you have them..I was just going down memory lane and remembering when Cyclone was introduced and it's so crazy how far we have come!
Your ratty babies are so lovely. I had rats for years, male and female (no babies though!!) and adored them. Sadly I can't have them anymore due to lack of cage space, so I love to see your girls enjoying being ratties. I love females best, but oddly enough my real heart rat was an enormous neutered boy called Wilfred, who lived to be over 3 years, and even survived a house fire. He was so gentle but not lazy, and so kind to his cage mates. I miss them, so thank you for letting me share your ratty heaven!😊❤
OMG I am absolutely accusing you For this, I have now rly started liking rats and I have had DREAMS where I have little chaos potatoes of my own and this is YOUR FAULT and thank you, your content is A very nice dose of serotonin after a rough day :)
I busted up laughing upon seeing one of Dust Devil's nicknames was Satan. XD In regards to how Derecho's molt keeps changing, could she possibly be a werewolf rat? I first heard about them through ShadowTheRat's channel when she got one named Raisin.
Thanks for the update. I love those little tater tot's. I have two boy's at the moment that were almost food. So sad. I knew something wasn't right because they weren't in the hutt in a rattie cuddle puddle (you know somebody is getting peed on hehe) I had to bring these two home. They were curled up in the corner by themselves. One is a bit older than the other and looked after the little one who is now my little fat potato. I've slowly been able to piece together what they went through. Me finding them at that moment was meant to be. Please do more video's. I think people would love to see more.💖💖💖💖
Oh, dah babies! ❤ Cin and Cape are being their god mothers in rattie heaven sending them plans when they dream to cause even more chaos than them, lol.❤
Totally think that Cin in Heaven is training the tiny new chaos potatoes how to be naughty to make sure your life is interesting 😂 They are all adorable 😍
Calling Derecho a shapeshifter makes me think of two things. First one is a Skinwalker which is a creature in Native American folklore that has the ability to shapeshifter into different creatures. The second one is an Obake which is a type of creature or Yōkai that is a shapeshifter. It could also be considered a type of ghost and is a synonym for a Yūrie. Ironically these are also ghost types in Phasmophobia, a ghost hunting game. I know way too much about paranormal stuff and folklore around certain things…
