Agreeeee I always draw kemonomimis with human ears as well as the animal ears! I know it doesn't make much sense but it looks better to me... Btw, your drawing looks gorgeous :)
13:18 for me i tend to go w just the animal ears, and add some extra hair where human ears would usually be. Makes more sense in my imagination, also adds some cool silhouette stuff if you add like. tufts of fur/hair that poke out
yea i think extra tufts of hair could work, though depends on the hair style. like a character with *very* short hair i think it always looks a bit awkward to not have human ears there orz
hi!! is there anyway u can give a quick tutorial on how you set up your auto action for auto mirroring your vector lines...? I may be stupid but I cant figure out how to do it quite that efficiently haha. or do you have the auto action as an asset somewhere...? please and thank you ;w; side note, I really have enjoyed watching your process and admire how skilled and efficient you are with the vector tools, it inspires to work harder!!
thanks! i really like the vector tools in clip! the steps for the reflect are.. 1. select all 2. copy 3. paste 4. horizontal flip 5. merge with layer below 6. deselect the entire canvas needs to be selected until the very last step for it to flip properly. hope this helps! (idk how to add things to the asset library but i might look into it later)
Hi! So amazing video thank you so much for this ✨ I have two questions if you don't mind. 1- Which brushes do you use? 2- Do you set up something with your vectorial lines? When I use it I have so much points than you 🤔
thanks! 1. some of the brushes are listed in the description. the pencil is by kuroshiro but they seem to have removed it from the clip library (just any textured pencil brush would work about the same). the brushes i do 99% of the coloring with are basic round and square watercolor brushes 2. i use the "curves" tool to draw lines, which gets you a line that you can control with two handles instead of many points, so its easier to make a long smooth line
tysm for these videos! they're super helpful :3 one question, how do you flip the layer and make it symmetrical? i'm also not using the symmetry ruler because it doesn't work for half the things lmao, but if flip the layer horizontally I need to adjust it and I don't think I'm actually doing it symmetrically. ugh i'm very bad at explaining, but I mean what you talked about in 0:57 . thanks again!
thanks! yes, so the first step in the macro is to select the ENTIRE canvas (ctrl A). when you copy/flip this, the dotted selection box needs to stay at the edge of the whole canvas, so it will flip it around the center line of the canvas instead of the center of just that layer. hope this helps!
Hi first Ill like to thank you, didnt know I can use vector lines to line models, I mostly use them for stickers. I just want to ask if it is compulsory to use lineart to create a vtuber model for the rigger? 🙏🏾
as long as the edges of your layers are clean, it doesnt matter if there's a visible line there or not. (if intentionally messy/blurry 'edges' is part of your art style, it is also possible to rig this, but this is more difficult so you'd have a harder time finding someone willing to do it)
